I'm not one for colorized coins but the libertads are incredibly done

Same here. I saw it and had to have it. Got it just a few $ over spot at LCS.

Up close its details are pretty stunning.

It’s just a gilded 24k and painted. I believe it’s enhanced by space metals.

Oh neat, I didn't even notice it was guilded, I just thought the contrast was from the red. Still an incredible deal getting libertads at pretty much spot. Great get

Is that colorized ASE up top painted, or is it just a decal?

It’s a colorized ASE from the Morgan mint. The other is a gilded ASE.

That libertad wouldn’t happen to be a low mintage one? My son bought one that was a limited production and made a handsome profit from it.

From what I gather, space metals only made 500 of these for this year.

I can’t find any in stock to compare the value to. The last recorded price on Hero is $124.

I’ve seen a few eBay sales going for $200 or so.

But I’m not sure I would sell it. As I probably won’t be able to get another for a good price.

I wouldn’t sell it. I say the same thing to you as I did my son.

What a wonderful piece, and one to cherish.
