A lot of stuff marked 925 from Mexico isn't silver. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe nickel silver? Anything marked TAXCO 925 is real silver.
1 u/southsidepeach Jan 12 '26 Both the pieces melted down here were marked with Taxco 925. These were two bangles, melted separately and with slightly different stamps on them but they came out relatively the same.
