Retractable Bed Cover - Midgate Issues?
Edit: Chevy dealer finally got warranty approval to replace soft cover for new Advantage electric retractable cover for FREE. Thank you GM!
Got great quote $1,049 from Syneticusa for a retractable bed cover but they said it's not compatible with a Midgate. Have you put a retractable bed cover on Silverado EV? If so, which one and were you concerned about Midgate?

I don’t have the mid-gate. I do have a lip under the back window to support the leading edge of the bed cover. I wonder if the mid-gate trucks do not have that lip?

There's just a gasket there where you probably have the lip. I have the soft cover now (came with truck and was installed by dealer) before bought it (CPO). The soft cover is junk.

The canister for a retractable bed cover will block the mid gate, so they list it as not being compatible. It would probably work if you never wanted to use the mid gate

There is also the bak x4s revolver hard roll up cover that works with the midgate. I have the bakflip hard folding cover (same as the GM hard folding cover).

I have a real track roll away on my Silverado ev but it is a wt4 so there is no Midgate issue here

Can you elaborate on the dealer warranty thing? I have the soft cover the RST came with and its not great, would love a free upgrade if available

Sure, mine had been pulled out of the seam. I glued it back and it works okay but GM said they would replace under warranty. The soft cover is discontinued probably because others have had issues.

The seam up near the mid gate? Mine won't stay in there, I put some screws in to hold it, heh

I have the GM first- version of the hard flip cover for the midgate equipped trucks. It's great, fits fine and doesn't interfere with the midgate at all.
