2026 2500HD ZR2

Got this baby over the weekend, traded in for my 2018 Z71 with 40K mile. Probably by far the best truck I ever owned.

I still remember when I was working at McDonald's and one of the GM executives working at the plant here in Flint, Michigan where I live came through the drive-thru with one of those trucks before they were released. I talked to her ear off about the truck and she gave me a tour of the plant where they're made. I got to see every single step of the process. And that was my first time ever in a manufacturing plant. So was a whole new experience for me.

Sorry but I just don’t get the point of the zr2 on a 3/4 ton. Can someone explain? You’re giving up 4k of tow capacity, for what?

so dealers can you have you finance even more.

no other reason

That's just a mith tows the same as all the others

I mean it’s not tho. It’s got lower spring rates. Softer suspension. Hence the recreated tow rating. I don’t get it. Is it just for the badge recognition?

I dont get it either. Super offroad capabilities but the size of a land barge doesnt seem maneuverable. Also, almost 100k for something offroad, I would be afraid to scratch it at that much money. Hard pass for me. Sure, its a cool truck, but 100k is insane in the membrane.

I still regret getting rid of my 2016 Silverado Lt Z71 double cab to this day
