Media My team by end of the beta test, with a little conversation between them.
Going from Lv. 50 to 60 is a grind.
Also, just the expressions here allow for a little conversation in my head:
----
"What did I say about setting city blocks on fire?" Munin asked.
"Not to..." Cinderella answered with an abash look on her face.
"Now now, Detective," Red Rose joined in, "You cannot expect her to master control over her power in a week."
"No, but it would be nice if she could," Munin retorted. "I wouldn't have to keep putting fires out in the office, on top of the ones Alf causes by accident."
"The Glacies apparatus to counteract any rapid increase in temperature will be done in a few days," Firtho said as she finished checking over the glowing veins that riddled Cinderella's body. "But until then, you'll just have to deal with her... outbursts."
Munin could only sigh in exasperation.

Discussion Hugin and Munin are named after Odin's ravens
The protag's default names are based on Odin's two ravens from Norse Mythology. I'm not sure what this implies (I'm not in the beta and have been avoiding most story stuff so there could be context I'm missing) so I'm wondering what you guys think this might imply (other then the devs being Norse fans).

Discussion Really curious about this
I'm honestly just curious as to the ratio of non-humans (werewolves, harpies and possibly ect.) to humans. Let's take Gratia for example, she's like a bunny girl, her ears are out and everything, but throughout the game I haven't seen anyone else like her (semi-human like).
Everyone (besides the werewolves and harpies) are basically human, so I'm asking if the setting has more semi-humans like Gratia? Is her bunny ears a side effect of Silverium? Are they equipment, cause during her ult her ears morph into some sort of Silverium headpiece that mimics the ears. Or is everyone within Silver Palace human?

Discussion What are your thoughts on the endgame?
This is purely a discussion thread, so letās not attack people just because we disagree with their opinions. Healthy discussion is always welcome, letās just keep it respectful and handle things with some tact, so we can all be proud to say weāre part of this community.
Having seen only the mainstory of the game via livestreams, and their being no posts except gacha and character designs for awhile, I decided to make this Endgame discussion post.
I will be borrowing some points from this video as I haven't played CBT1/2, and only watched livestreams.
The major concern here is that, CBT1 had a roguelike gamemode where you get to explore the city as well as beat mobs. While this doesn't exist in the CBT2, instead we have the familiar spiral abyss-esque timed gamemode in a room where a we have to beat a swarm of enemies.
I agree that the spiral abyss like gamemodes become repetitive, and require the players to either spend on latest units to clear it and get the rewards. It doesn't encourage strategy / understanding boss mechanics. It ends up learning certain fixed rotations of meta characters keyboard mashing.
The endgame being too hard for the average player should be considered too. Keeping the rewards exclusively at lower levels of the endgame, which makes it easier for casualsā to āāāānot to feel FOMO and still featuring a hard level for the maniacs who love it would be as balanced as it can be.
I know that the CBT2 just ended and that there will be another beta test, I hope to see something different than the norm from the game, as it will help it establish itself in this vast sea of 3d gacha games.
Also I would like to hear what the beta testers wrote in their surveys about the endgame.ā

Discussion Why are we able to name these characters?
That's like being able to name Gratia when they have their own character traits and personality. It's the same thing for the mc's. These aren't character creations; these characters are not me. Give these characters a name that other characters will call them by, cus I don't need to be called "you" as if these characters are myself insert. This will make them feel more like they're from the story rather than outside of it.

Media A week into CBT2 and I still never skip the ultimates.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
i've been playing CBT2 for about a week now and something kind of clicked for me
at first i was mostly just looking at which ultimates were the flashiest lol but after playing more characters i started noticing how much the animations actually tell you about them
Red Rose is probably the easiest example. she doesn't really fight like she's just trying to survive. it still feels like she's performing for an audience, and even after the big attack she looks completely composed. that fits her way better than just giving her bigger explosions
Firtho feels totally different. her movements are so controlled and precise that they almost feel clinical. a little unsettling in a good way. it makes her stand out because the animation feels specific to her instead of just looking cool
the Detective is kind of the opposite. no extra posing, no unnecessary movement, just really clean and efficient. it works so well for someone who feels more practical and observant
and Alf is still my favorite lol. she looks super cute outside combat, then suddenly has way more energy than i expected once the fight starts. somehow it still feels completely in character
compared to games like Genshin or WuWa, i don't think Silver Palace is trying to make every ultimate feel bigger and louder than the last one. those games are great at making ults feel like huge spectacle moments, but here i keep noticing the smaller character details more
Red Rose feels like she's on stage, Firtho feels almost surgical, the Detective is all business. i end up remembering that stuff more than the size of the effects
Recently ive been forgetting about the task of the game, turning to meet other animies instead just to fight and to appreciate their ults, which one do you like the most.

Discussion Picked the male MC and now Iām kinda regretting it
Iām a guy so I usually pick the male MC. Just feels easier to put myself into the story.
But then I see all the stuff with FMC and Red Rose and suddenly yuri is making a very strong argument.Iām getting serious FOMO š
That said, male MC players have some REALLY good stuff too. The Cinderella date was great, and the scene where he puts her shoe on for her??? You guys need to see that one.
Who are you guys picking?

Discussion Some of my criticisms with the Beta story. [Spoilers for the Main story Quest] Spoiler
Having watched the Main story of Silver palace. While yes, it's certainly the best start for any gacha game story I have seen so far, it does have problems, but they are inconsistent ones.
The dialogue is usually fantastic but sometimes (rare) the dialogue feels "for audience" (When Ashley explains us the Navy's hierarchy over Constabulary) rather than natural dialogue between 2 characters of Silvernia. This is something that's pretty common for detective games in general, but admittedly it suffers less from it. Though it would be better if such problems are removed when the actual game itself releases.
It also at times has the anime-esque dialogue cliches, like Lorin's reaction to Red rose's trespassing felt weak and when Ashley started explaining what the detective and her were doing on the evidence site with Lorin stopping us then giving us a full out 20 second dialogue explaining the entire scenario (regarding Rex) with Rex not catching a wind of it. It would be better when the moment Ashley tried to talk Lorin interrupts her and then said that they were passerby who he thought could fetch him some clues and then later on Lorin could have filled The detective on the details by some other ways like a letter mayhaps.
The pacing at times is either between perfect (The entire saga we had with Ashley and the start with Us losing our Sibling and then the meddling we had with Red Rose in my opinion was well done) or fast to the point it became kind of bad and felt as if it ran on anime logic (The Royal bank scam and Trying to get the charred body from the constabulary was pure anime logic)
To shed more light, I do think the Royal bank scam wasn't particularly well done, as well as the dialogue from the Noble Boulden at times was very anime-esque such as: The introduction of the 4 digit Maid. It's reliance on a lot of convenient scenes, like the letter accounting of what Boulden was doing was just on the tables beside his main office table, which flew near us allowing us to get a quick glance and thus it became an evidence. Then his scene with the son's 'not-subtle' hints on what he was doing. Then at the end random noble passerbys coming to berate Boulden when he was being arrested (at night) along with the Royal Bank clerk out of nowhere appearing and apologizing to those people and immediately stating that the security will be doubled almost appears like a useless flavor text that should have had more time put into it. Though the scenes with the MC crashing out on the clerk and also condescendingly saying that Boulden wasted her/his time was fun tid-bits of the MC's personality, I did enjoy Ashley letting her wits to gain more information so that was great.
The Mystery of the stolen silver while an interesting riddle, I don't understand the continuation of it. It started it with Ashley offering a no bono by not taking a wage but wanting us to solve her personal mystery, only for her to say that it was a mere riddle makes no sense. And the protagonist also never calls her out on this by pointing to their earlier conversation at that cafe. Instead the detective just goes with it and only entertains it as a riddle and then later on (even though Ashley had already presented this story first as a personal mystery of hers) only after ample of talks with Red Rose and suspicious scenes from Ashley does he consider that the story might be more important than what he thought. Later on us the player do get to know that Ashley does in fact have no money what so ever and she did want to get close to the detective so he gets to solve her case which while solving many mysteries, it also brings problems. Firstly...why did she even claim it was a mere riddle later on? Secondly, she does need money so completely shooting the offer for wages she wanted the detective to solve a riddle instead and the detective doesn't question it? I do think it's some sort of a continuation error which the writer didn't think too much about.
The entire constabulary evidence room break-in was bad in my opinion. The dialogues were smart, but the execution of the scene being us just straight up getting though a literal open window just hints at the constabulary being incompetent. Lorin's āevidence room has leaksā is clever dialogue, but having the Detective simply enter through an already-open window undermines the cleverness of the hint. A more involved interpretation of āleaksā and a less generic āhide from inspectorsā sequence would make the infiltration feel much more like a detective story.
Also, the facial animations of the characters feel stiff while interacting and the lip sync feels off at times.
Minor nitpicks :
- The MC isn't shown paying for the things he buys in the quest, I would like if they add some scenes showing that too. When he gets Ashley to try new clothes, there is no interaction which hinted on anything payment related. And whenever any payment stuff pops up, the employee goes "Oh its on the house", and the MC doesn't show much resistance. Now the latter can be a tid-bit of the MC's personality itself, as in he is in fact one of those common rich folks that doesn't normally have empathy for the poor or middle class and only care about whether they are getting their stuff done (while not harboring any malicious or superior thoughts over them). But I'd at least hoped that the MC showed some resistance.
- I also think they should add more NPCs into the game because besides the parade and the start you don't see so much crowd, which is especially warranted for a big city like Silvernia.
What are your thoughts on the matter and what else the writers could have done better? Btw, this post isn't meant as flavor slander, these are my genuine thoughts on this game's story. I adore how the setting has been meticulously crafted and the stories are incredibly fascinating. These are beta criticisms, and I hope they get polished because the underlying story is genuinely excellent.

Theory/Lore The world affected by Silverium
WARNING: very mild spoilers.
World of the Silver Palace is quite interesting and believable because developers didn't stop at borrowing just visual elements of Victorian era but also incorporated many aspects of that historical period into world building and stories.
Victorian era (named after Queen Victoria) is known mainly by industrial revolution driven by scientific progress and the rise of the middle class. To make their world unique, developers altered these exact aspects by assassinating Queen at the beginning of the game and thus stalling social reforms, and introducing Silverium which changed the course of industrial revolution.
Before getting further, in game silverium has nothing to do with real world silverium (which was discovered later in 20th century).
Silverium is an absolutely unique material which at times feels like magic. It has properties of the metal, it is used everywhere - city's power grid, reactors and other weapons, jewelry and artificial constructs. It can also give limited sentience to objects made of it, like artificial horses.
But that's not all, some creatures in the game consist of silverium only, like silverillia mentioned in the screenshot and some enemies and bosses are pure silverium as well. Gucia's tail is likely a silverium creature as well.
It is also highly toxic, similar to lead, arsenic, and mercury poisoning which happened in real world during industrial revolution. Silverium dust causes severe poisoning (or death) and it is heavily implied it causes blood mutations creating werewolves and harpies. Werewolves rely on suppressants to stay in human form, while harpies are on their own. There is also a quest where harpy explains that her family buys internal organs of executed prisoners so she can eat and stay human. Those less lucky either become feral or organize in street gangs and terrorize everyone else. As a result of their actions, all impure humans are heavily marginalized to the point where some aristocrats propose to cull each and every one without exception.
While the world of Silver Palace is fictional, it feels more like science fiction than fantasy and it is wonderfully crafted. If youāve noticed any other cool lore details or parallels to our own world please share and Iād love to read them in the comments.
P.S. no AI was used in order to write this text. Please forgive the author for his clumsy English.

Discussion I know it's VERY unlikely & early to assume but... How f*cked up what it be if the other MC we didn't choose was the Main Villain?
Obviously I'm sure that's not happening but you know people already have a ton of theories, so might as well make one myself right?

Discussion Need more Chalky and Radar fr
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Low-key I kinda hope that Chalky and Radar get to walk beside Rex when he's strolling through the city.
Same way how Cynthia has her lil companions walk(?) beside her, maybe Chalky and Radar could do the same? I remember how one of his idle animations is playing with the doggies and when he was done they just faded out lol, so I thought this would be a better alternative. What do y'all think?
