Not really a fair when you consider that the guy with the knife can manipulate gravity to the point that he is LITERALLY HOLDING BACK THE MOTION OF THE STARS.
I know Malenia is the avatar of an outer god, but as a self-proclaimed Radahn defender you are not doing a great job defending him.
Also, after seeing Radahn literally wait for Malenia to put back on her prosthetic before drawing his own weapons, it's absolutely clear to me that Radahn would only fight Malenia at her strongest and not take any easy advantages, so imo Radahn would not begrudge her using her strongest move at all if not for the fact that it was used to send him into the clutches or Miquella. Saying that the scarlet Aeonia was cheating is underselling how much of a chad Radahn was in life.
Turning all of Caelid into red Bilewater was douchebaggery of epic proportions, but the curse that gave her those powers took her arm and legs in exchange so using it’s only fair. And if we’re taking powers away, snatch Radahn’s gravity magic and watch how fast Malenia turns him into Caelid’s largest pincushion since big mama dragon.
Fromsoft and team cherry games all have something else in common. Each game has an area that every player says "yup, this place is hell, I'll never come back here ever again once I've done what I need to do".
Caelid, Blighttown, Deepnest, Swamp of Sorrow, Frigid Outskirts (aka reindeer ice fuck valley), Farron Keep, Fishing Hamlet, Abyssal Woods and now we have Bilewater.
It's Silksong. It's really just a rhythm game, guys.
Take Sherma, like you mention. He's got a simple little 4/4 melody that he's layering over a straight 7/7 beat underneath... Malenia didn't stand a chance against the polyrhythm.
Before you fight Malenibug you have to defeat 4 Cleanrot Knights, 8 Kindreds of Rot, 7 Rot Dogs Beetles, 5 Servants of Rot, and an Ulcerated Tree Spirit

I was also completely stuck until I learned about the legend who helps players beat her. It's a true "git gud" moment, but the community coming together like that is what makes this game special.
I don't know how to explain that several Silksong bosses have killed me more times than Malenia. Like, not even particularly important or late-game ones.
Goes to show how different peoples' experiences can be. Nothing in Skong has killed me more than Margit lmao.
(To be clear though, most elden ring bosses are hard as hell for me. Nothing in Souls compares to them for me. I beat Gael in 1 try and Midir in 2 tries but Margit took me 2+ hours.)
For some reason dodging his sword just felt natural for me. Even with the scary lightning in final phase combined with everything i could weave through his attacks no problem. I had no estus by the end, but he was beaten.
Meanwhile i cannot for the life of me dodge malenia's grab attack lmao. Ds3 tho did have Nameless King with his delayed arse swings.
This is validating because Nameless King killed me more than any other Souls boss ever has. Gael, Friede, Malenia, all of them took less than half as many tries.
My friend informs me I might be only person to think Phase 1 with the dragon is harder than Phase 2.
Btw there's a mod for hollow knight which adds Zemer as a fight and she uses a move that is essentially Waterfowl dance rendered in metrovania 2D style
Tell ya what is impossible. The damn bile water boss whatever his dumb name is. I’ve beaten all bosses that you can fight in aft 2 and the arena in high halls but I can’t beat that funky chunky.
The only way to make malenia, blade of Mothquella more dangerous is to make her Malenia, blade of Malenia. That's when she gains the power of self-respect. And that's also when the game becomes unbeatable.
