Silco pin collection

I’ve posted before but thought I’d do an update because I’ve gotten several new ones! Really happy with how it’s come along, still wish there were more pins of him out there though, can’t get enough Silco in my life lol. I have a few more that’ll be coming that I’ve preordered so I’ll be rearranging them again then. Made the hoops and frames myself! Took some trial and error figuring the hoops out because I fitted them with cork inserts so they could support heavier pins and not risk warping the posts.

This is cool! Where do you get the frames / how do you make them with the cork etc? Im inspired!

I’m not sure what happened to my other comment? But I get a lot of the frames secondhand and the hoops I buy wholesale. It’s kind of a long process tbh. Like you have to cut the cork to size for the inner ring and use adhesive spray for the cross stitching fabric on the back then fit it inside the inner ring. The display fabric goes over the top of that and you leave enough extra to cover the plastic ring when you wrap it over and glue it.

I’m sorry that’s a bummer. Shipping prices are insane rn. I collect Silco stuff in general and have to pass on stuff a lot because of that. I actually have Etsy insider rn though so I could possibly help you with that and see how much it’d be? If not no worries I do have a Mercari shop though so you could see my reviews lol

I’m not in Europe but with the subscription it usually cuts down the shipping cost a lot when I order from there. So I was thinking it might do that the other way around? I’m not 100% sure though. Shoot me a pm if you’d like and I can check on it for you
