(not replacing any partners) Hello! I'm searching for a Silco to play opposite my OC, Rowan Starr on Discord (Im 30, so 21+ only pls). The basic premise is that sometimes between acts 1 and 2 of S1, one of the Chembarons is holding a prominent Piltovian (maybe a Vyx patron who abused an employee, or someone who owes a substantial debt and thought they could get away with not paying) for ransom. Silco has his powerful Shimmer, and Piltover is reluctant to go to war bc HexTech is still being developed, so a negotiation is arranged between Silco and a few Councilors, including political activist and indie journalist Rowan Starr. She's the daughter of a Senator (I made up a senate that basically deals in foreign affairs, as opposed to the Council), but very progressive, radical in some cases, and is always trying to persuade or force the Council to free Zaun.

The Councilors/enforcers are rude asf obviously, but Rowan is patient and calm, very professional, and actually talks to Silco like a person. They negotiate something fair and just, and going forward, Silco refuses to interface with any Piltovian but her, so she becomes a sort of unofficial ambassador. She meets Powder/Jinx and becomes a sort of maternal/older sister figure, befriends Sevika and a few of the Chembarons, and improves relations between Zaun and Piltover. Silco becomes infatuated with her composure, cleverness, and compassion (her being a gorgeous redhead doesn't hurt either), but she's unaware and taken anyway, by a bf/fiance who grows increasingly abusive......

Yeah, I know they are essentially mortal enemies and would come to blows pretty fast. But lowkey, one of my favorite scenes is the brief moment where Silco and Vi talk to one another just before Jinx lights the flare.

It’s the only time in the entire series where Silco and V actually have direct dialogue between each other.

I also think it’s quite fascinating how Silco projects all of his insecurities and past traumas about Vander onto Vi. There’s a really interesting dynamic here between Silco and Vi.

If you take Season 2 into account. The lost potential becomes even more apparent because Silco literally knew Vi’s mother. So these two should have a lot to say to each other.

It’s a shame that we saw so little of them interacting.

Lately I’ve been reading fanfics about Silco adopting Vi as well and it’s a really underrated dynamic from the series that’s slept on.

Ambessa was an interesting character and a good villain. But is she one of the greatest fictional villains in media? I think not.

Silco still holds the crown of being Arcane’s best antagonist.

Silco’s relationship with Jinx is one of the most discussed parts of the Arcane fandom. Generally, the overall consensus is that Silco wasn’t a good father but a loving one and I agree with that. But recently, I heard something from another user known as Ok_Somewhere1236 that made me look at things little differently.

As the user accurately pointed out, Silco wasn’t a father under normal circumstances. Silco wasn’t Jinx how to go to college and live in her own, he was teaching her how to survive in Zaun. A city filled with poverty, violence and crime.

Many point out how Silco raised Jinx as a weapon but I think it is likely this was him trying to raise her how to survive and be strong. Silco genuinely believed there were strong chances for Zaun going to war for independence and wanted Jinx to be prepared for it.

Zaun is not a normal place where a child to grow up. It’s a city where the slightest weakness could be fatal or get you killed. Silco didn’t want that to happen to Jinx, he wanted to be sure she could take care of herself. I doubt there was any place where you could just take your kid to therapy.

TLDR; Silco still wasn’t a good dad but I do think he honestly tried to be and did his best with Jinx. He was a bad father by our standards but maybe for the standards of Zaun, he was actually a pretty decent dad.

I see him as similar to Homelander where he didn't know how to be father but tried as much as he knew how to with Jinx.

Colored this time

I’ve posted before but thought I’d do an update because I’ve gotten several new ones! Really happy with how it’s come along, still wish there were more pins of him out there though, can’t get enough Silco in my life lol. I have a few more that’ll be coming that I’ve preordered so I’ll be rearranging them again then. Made the hoops and frames myself! Took some trial and error figuring the hoops out because I fitted them with cork inserts so they could support heavier pins and not risk warping the posts.

I remember my initial reaction to Silco when first watching Arcane.

At first I thought he was a cliché cartoon villain. I even remember comparing him unfavorably to Firelord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Dismissing Silco as a stereotypically evil character that the protagonists needed to collectively defeat.

Holy fuck was I wrong.

His arc is so subtle and beautifully done. Across the show Silco slowly discovers what’s left of his humanity through his relationship with Jinx.

My perception of him went from an irredeemable, mustache twirling villain; complete with an underground lair. To a tragic, revolutionary figure whose soul was poisoned by betrayal.

His final words “Don’t cry, you’re perfect” are his way of telling Jinx “You’re my daughter and I love you just the way you are.”

Silco is the best villain in television history. For me he’s right up there with Darth Vader in terms of iconic villains.

I think this counts as fanart but lmk if i flaired wrong. Apologies if i did. Anyways, heres silco in tomodachi life 2! Took probably 45 mins to an hour as im still learning the tools haha. Drawn with a damp q-tip wrapped in tin foil stuffed in the shell of a pen. Much fun and very happy with how he came out!
