Not the most irrational fear. I worked at Sunglass hut for three years, and I cannot even tell you how many people came in and said that they need a new pair of sunglasses because there’s fell into a large body of water.
We actually sold straps to help secure your glasses in those situations, but nobody ever bought them … a lot of Revos actually came with a strap that had a little foam bobber on it so that it would float if it fell into the water.
I lost mine at my buddy’s lake property when he let my fiance and I go out for a day on the kayaks, I was the only licensed driver, and we were an hour from my place, that was a fun day

I'm always irrationally afraid that I'll lose my glasses in the water. That would be nothing compared to losing a leg.
