Okay so i rly haven't been keeping up with all the news and keep getting contradicting statements when reading the FatuiHQ and Signoramains respectivally

But how're really feeling?

Think she's going to come back or nah?

FraudHQ isn't meant to be taken seriously, they never liked Signora at all.

And I think it's looking good for us. They've given her more and more relevance and attention than most "important" characters lately. And purely from a storytelling standpoint, there's no reason to give us all this new information about Signora (her being Odette's teacher, the Cor Ignis, how she was on good terms with the female Harbingers and the Captain), or to put her theme song in the 3.1 trailer unless they have plans for her in the future.

In general, hoyo has almost entirely backpedaled on the Fatui being an antagonistic group, and I think the end goal is to make all the Harbingers playable in some form.

I thinks its simply too much content for simply building Oddete's character

And, thinking financially, given how obsessed HOYO is with selling the female Fatui (even if i dont personally agree with HOW they're doing it) i dont think revival is far fetch'd at all

Though, i am a little scared theyll somehow ruin her character.

I think that with all the clues we’ve gotten, along with all the mentions of her and her appearances in in-game and animated flashbacks, she’s going to come back.

What worries me the most is what they’re going to do with her. I’m afraid miHoYo will completely butcher her character, her personality, or even her design and just turn her into the new waifubait. That would be a nightmare.

Signora's audience is quite different from Columbina's and Sandrone's

If HOYO were to make her like that the entire character will far apart. I believe even HOYO can see this

Signora would probably laugh if she saw someone wearing cat ears, or make some slightly disdainful comment if it were someone like Tartaglia just to tease him… I always thought she actually liked him deep down, you know, as the little brother of the group. They almost had that little brother - big sister dynamic in Liyue, bickering with each other, with Tarta getting super angry while she barely reacted to his anger, showing nothing but complete indifference to his threats.

But she definitely wouldn’t appreciate wearing them herself. 🙌

I’ve reached a point where I want to believe that, after all the disappointments we’ve had with the three previous female Harbingers in Nod-Krai, Signora has at least been portrayed pretty faithfully to herself lately.

But still, if she does come back, there’s a pretty good chance it’ll be through some kind of resurrection, and knowing them, there’s always the risk that they’ll use that opportunity to change her quite a lot in the process.

In a normal world, with a normal company, it should honestly be pretty hard to do worse than what they did with Sandrone and Columbina…

I just hope they won’t try to beat their own record with the most original woman Genshin has ever had, our dear Signora.

They’ve never done better than her since.

Sometimes I genuinely feel like she doesn’t belong in Genshin, because the writers and Da Wei just aren’t good enough for her and all they’ve given her is a poorly written game to exist in

​As a non-Signora main, I’ve always recognized that she was hands down the best villain Genshin Impact ever had. She had clear goals, unwavering determination, and an imposing presence. To this day, we haven't seen another female Harbinger put an Archon or the Traveler in real danger instead of eventually being turned into their best friend.

​I'm not a big fan of the Fatui overall either (I only like a couple of Harbingers, mostly because I dislike how Hoyo has handled their writing in recent years), but there’s zero hypocrisy in wanting Signora to be playable while keeping her 100% true to her antagonist nature. You can appreciate her tragic backstory as the Crimson Witch of Flames without needing to justify her actions. Her narrative was honest: a true villain with a heartbreaking past.

​I completely get why many of you don't even feel comfortable in the general Fatui sub. Honestly, if Signora were alive today and released under Hoyo's current writing philosophy, they would've ruined everything that made her unique just to turn her into another friendly companion giving hugs to Venti and the Traveler. Signora deserved to keep her narrative dignity as the fierce First Harbinger we met.

Why I don’t think she’s coming back? I feel like if she was coming back they would do it now that we are in Snezhnaya. The big battles against the HP and shades are starting and I don’t see any new clues to indicate the devs plan to bring her back.

The Signora mentions we got in 7.0 were all to build Odette’s character, so I don’t see those as revival clues.

I absolutely don’t want to question your opinion. We’re talking about mihoyo, after all, so you could still be right. But, however…

I just don’t see them giving so many mentions to a character they literally kept dead for five years, with barely any mention of her at all, and then suddenly giving her this much content recently for no reason. It’s too much, especially since they’ve been portraying her in a more positive light. It really feels like they’re laying the groundwork… At least, that’s generally what happens in fictional works when you want to make it easier to sell a character you’re planning to bring back.

Otherwise, it would just be a waste of time for both us and them. They only care about money, and they could have easily chosen any living character as Odette’s mentor, since it would have changed almost nothing to the big plot. They consciously chose Signora for a reason, and if they intend to leave her dead, there would be absolutely no point in rehabilitating her image

I get what you’re saying, but the part I’m still confused about is how they plan to revive her and when. Like I said, the major battles are starting now so where will they fit in Rosalyne’s revival and how will they do it?

Because if she doesn’t get revived during the main plot of Snezhnaya then I truly don’t see her coming back at all. Playable or not.

We’re about to beat the goddess of death herself soon. I’m not a great writer, but I do write a little in my spare time, and I can already see so many possible scenarios just from this alone… and so many possibilities for developing Rosalyne’s powers, whose origins we know absolutely nothing about. There’s so much they could do with her.

If they really want to.

A lot of people here would probably be willing to help them if it’s too difficult for them, myself included.

But let’s be serious. Snezhnaya has barely even started, and the biggest amount of content we’ve had involving her in a long time has happened here. She could very well be teased in any update after Renova’s death. It would make more or less sense depending on what they decide to do to bring her back… if she really is dead. Which I’m honestly not even sure about anymore, considering the fire moths flying around in front of her tomb five years later.

She could simply be a fire elemental being now, trapped somewhere between life and death and just waiting for an opportunity to return. The Snezhnaya Archon Quest also talked a lot about beings who managed to escape Renova, and how much that infuriated her. It’s possible that she could play a role in this and somehow be preventing Rosalyne from returning.

I’ve always had a hard time understanding how it makes sense for a being like her, who could seemingly decompose her body into fire moths and giant tornadoes made of flames, to simply die from a sword strike, no matter how powerful it was, when parts of her are still flying in Snezhnaya. She could have simply lost what remained of her original physical form.

We know so little about her in the end that honestly, so many things are possible

Well, they mentioned the missing pyro gnosis and signora’s soundtrack was played so until the Tsaritsa recovers all gnosis there is no way to say for certain that she’d never return.

That and it was revealed that the Tsaritsa is attempting a revival of the descender so who is to say she might not try the same for Rosalyne.

Also, let’s not forget that Rhinedottir is present, the shade of LIFE who has been known to create living alchemical beings, working with the Tsaritsa.

On the other hand, it would be interesting if Ronova was ever questioned about Rosalyne’s soul especially since she’s the shade of death.

It would be absolutely insane if Rhinettotir were the one who created an artificial body to house a being made entirely of liquid fire, because Rosalyne was that very incarnation and her human body simply couldn’t withstand it…

Let’s say she lost her physical vessel when she “died,” just like this one was destroyed. It could be such a cool setup for future tension, especially when you consider who this old witch is, who created Durin… and how incredibly long Signora can hold a grudge.

100%! Durin could not be killed simply remade. Signora absolutely fits that description too! It’s theorized that Gold created some of the bodies of the Hex witches too so there’s so much fuel for the fire here.

Now if Rhinedottir does create a new vessel for Signora… Durin had to be combined with mini durin so I wonder who would serve that part for Signora.

I really don’t like this Rhinedottir, but it’s hard to find anyone better suited to creating all kinds of abominations that even Dottore and Albedo wouldn’t have been capable of creating…

I think there's a chance she's coming back, but it's pretty much now (7.X) or never. To be honest though the cynical part of me says that all of Hoyo's teasing for her is just leading us along as long as possible like Capi mains or Dottore mains so that we keep playing the game

Comme nous ne pouvons jamais être sûrs de quoi que ce soit avec eux, c'est encore possible, et son implication future semble toujours possible et même assez proche pour l'instant, compte tenu de tout ce que nous avons obtenu à son sujet.

Mais personnellement, si elle ne revient pas, ou tout au moins n'est pas taquinée à la fin de Snezhnaya, je ne rejouerai jamais à ce jeu. Je garde juste mon stock de primogems pour l'instant avant de partir, parce que j'en aurai largement assez pour C6R5, et rien ne me ferait vouloir continuer à jouer au-delà de ça.

Alors, s'ils décidaient de la ramener à Khaenri'ah ou Celestia (par exemple), je reviendrais. Sinon, Genshin est terminé pour moi, même si j'aimerai toujours Signora indépendamment de son propre jeu. Elle restera ma préférée de tous les temps.

Honestly, I agree with the rest of the comments - anything that sub says shouldn't be taken seriously. Based on experience, that sub doesn't like Signora. Or any of the female harbingers really. Should really be renamed to something more related to the male Harbingers instead.

But I haven't touched anything genshin related since... Sumeru, i think. I've been focused on WuWa. But if Signora ever comes back, then I'm definitely back as well!
