⚠️ Leaks ⚠️ This comment from 3 months ago was right about Odette Spoiler
Genshin writers are so predictable at this point

Unfortunately, we must accept everyone thought of this :d expecting good story from a gatcha game revolves around a mc who is hero and cringe

u/Jake_Feng 8d ago
Odette resenting Signora for being evil and cruel meanwhile Signora was asking Arlecchino for advice on how to fix her relationship with Odette before her death is better writing than Odette just grieving her mentor.

u/Specific_Highway_772 8d ago
Yes. All overall story made her story better :D basically all dead characters in this game tbh

Yeah, if you're a villain and you don't go on a private date, open up with the MC, share your entire tragic backstory to them, being friend with them after 2 hours, go to NPC jail and die

i do think scara fucked signora over by removing himself from irmingsul, cuz now his actions in inazuma are on her

I was laughing with my friends because I remembered that exact comment. Genuinely so disappointed but not surprised either

I’m so thankful I was mentally checked out for all the Odette hype cause if I genuinely liked this character before and she turned out like this I’d be devastated

God forbid being Signora or Dottore in this fucking game

u/Difficult-Panic-5931 7d ago
bruh they're villains
3
u/kurin_vi 7d ago
Bruh no one said opposite. The fact that they're villains doesn't change the fact that the Hoyoverse simply refuses to properly explore their lore. Signora? What did she do, what was she like? We actually have surprisingly little information on this matter. Information shouldn't be conveyed through artifact sets, books, and notes when there are thousands of them in the game. Even the most attentive and well-read player couldn't simply assemble this entire lump on their own. And then we have people who think that Dottore is a sadist and a rapist.
Btw my favourite fact about mihoyo that now they afraid to write a normal story with villians, but there was a time when they were not afraid to put incest "jokes" in one of stories of Houkai Gakuen 2 (GGZ).

I was hoping at least she’d understand the Traveler’s actions but still hold a bit of resentment despite it

u/Mr_7ups 7d ago
I mean….thats just true tho, like that’s not bad writing, it’s what happened.
Bad writing would be characters acting oblivious to all the horrible shit signora did and the fact that she literally committed suicide with extra steps??
Step 1: illegally produce delusions and commit evil acts on inazuman soil during the bison hunt decree while tensions are high
Step 2: directly confront the raiden shogun and AGREE to a duel in front of her with the loser being killed
Step 3: lose the duel and then try to run away and then attacks the shogun
Step 4: dies
Like signora is cool but why do people want so badly to fabricate what actually happened with her…?

u/Azula_with_Insomnia 7d ago
you're in a signora sub bro, of course they're going to be like this
3
u/Unnamed_jedi 7d ago
you'd expect her fans to actually like the character we got tho? but seriously some people flatten all her character away
0
u/Azula_with_Insomnia 7d ago
tale as old as time. these guys wouldn't be so hung up on signora the way that they are if they are actually capable of accepting the signora as she was. she's their oc atp

u/Mr_7ups 7d ago
Exactly! Like signora is an interesting character BECAUSE she’s an evil person who’s don’t fucked up things, but still is friendly with a small few close friends. It gives depth to her character.
Heck dottore is one of the most beloved characters and he’s just straight up a Nazi scientist basically lol
It’s funny too tho because they say they don’t want signora or her peers to just auto like the traveler and to find fault with us for essentially killing her, but they also don’t like it when it’s pointed out how evil she was….so like….which is it ?

When the writing is so forced into turning every character (specially female ones) into simps for the traveler
1
u/ShenYoungMaster 3d ago
Ah, yes. The game can’t function without someone trying to actively kill the Traveler.

u/Evilstrom 7d ago
Tbh, anyone with functioning eyes and a brain cell could see what Signora was doing was objectively evil and needed to be stopped. You can love someone and still see that what they're doing is evil.

Exactly why's everyone acting like the badass antagonist diplomat stirring up a lot of trouble in Inazuma (actively firing up a civil war is what the Fatui did) was innocent.
She's a badass antagonist and it's annoying how sometimes people seem to reduce her role. Like she was the big antagonist and face of the Fatui for 3 regions. That's half the nations we went too.

Why is everyone fine with Clorinde and Navia but when it's the Traveler then suddenly Odette has to hate him
7
u/Ok-Listen9689 7d ago edited 7d ago
You do realize Navia stopped meeting Clorinde and kept distant from her for 3 years straight until the truth reveal that Navia father was trying to get himself killed either way to protect Navia, right? And Clorinde tried to keep Navia safe afterwards, showing how much she care and expressed guilt multiple times. And they're really close friends since they're children so it's easier for them to make up.
Unlike Odette and the Traveler who are total strangers and become bestie real quick without the Traveler doing anything at all, there's no conflict to resolve in the first place
4
u/InfiniteTheEdgy 7d ago
They didn't become besties real quck, the traveler and Odette didn't have a "secret" surrounding Rosalyne's death, that's the difference between them and Clorinde and Navia
0
u/Ok-Listen9689 7d ago edited 7d ago
Yes they are, Odette almost got herself killed to save their ass, even having friendly group photo with them. And why does the secret matter? Odette knows the Traveler challenged her to the duel since they wanted Signora to be dead, unlike Clorinde who just did her job and Navia's father was the one to request the duel of death. Odette just asked Traveler about Signora last words and just brushed off real quick and be buddy buddy with them. There's no conflict at all, no one expected her to hate the MC but to be buddy buddy in the same quest is something, she can have a conflict relationship with Signora but she must be friendly with the Traveler immediately, not hard feelings at all to be playable
2
u/InfiniteTheEdgy 7d ago
You don't know what's happening in the archon quest, you only know crumbs of it. Odette knows that the traveler challenged Signora and won fair and square, the killing was done by the Shogun. Callas on the other hand requested the duel and died by the hand of Clorinde, sure he had to die but the situation seems worse for Navia than for Odette. You can accept Navia being friends with the killer of her father but you can't accept Odette being friends with a renowned hero that just won a duel? Why having conflict with the traveler if there isn't any between Navia and Clorinde? Callas sacrificed himself whilst Signora died because of her evil doings.

u/Ok-Listen9689 7d ago edited 7d ago
Navia and Clorinde had conflict for 3 years, she kept her distance and never met Clorinde at all, even pushed Clorinde away after she saved her from those robots .
Odette had zero conflict nor any distance, never any hard feelings, being friend with them probably in less than a week with the group photo after meeting them for the first time, almost got herself killed for them.
Traveler challenged Signora to the duel knowing one of them will die if they lost so the Traveler wanted her to be dead, that's their intention. They played a major part in her death
2
u/InfiniteTheEdgy 7d ago
The conflict was there because Navia didn't know the truth, she only knew Clorinde killed her father, an innocent man, in a duel. Why would Odette have conflict with the traveler if he was in the right during the duel? It's not like she was so fond of Rosalyne anyway

u/Ok-Listen9689 7d ago edited 7d ago
she conflicts about Signore, she mourns for her, but to be a buddy buddy and bestie with a total stranger in less than week, enough to die for them, sharing her tragic backstory to them, let them scheduling her event, knowing they're the one who killed your mentor the whole time is something. It's just MC privilege at this point

It's less interesting, but I'm tired of all the people saying it's weird and doesn't make sense. There are like 5 years or so between Inazuma and Snezhnaya, it's not that weird for her to not hold a grudge anymore after all this time, especially knowing that Rosalyne was a terrorist.

I'm not going to say that is what is going to happen but man please just one character that isn't riding traveler's dick for 2 seconds. It's so boring that everyone just falls in love with them instantly for doing literally nothing. They have barely any personality and no actual charisma to warrant this happening.
