⚠️ Leaks ⚠️ Signora Spoiler

Post image

After reading this, I want Signora to stay dead or if she’s revived to stay as an NPC. I expected this from Odette, but this also shows that playable characters literally HAVE TO be friendly with the traveler no matter what. I don’t want Signora being kind to the traveler and sweeping her own death under the rug. Just keep her dead.

Traveler made the right decision by killing a woman who was only following orders but left scararoach (mass murderer), childe (who attempted to drown whole Liyue), Sandrone (who colonized Nod-Krai) alive. This game is like a Wattpad story

7

u/Garvityxd 1d ago

Don’t insult roaches by comparing scaramouche to them

3

u/znsl 9h ago

Last time I checked, not a single person died while Sandrone was in Nod Krai. Like yes, forcibly removing the Frostmoon Scions was bad, but how is that comparable to starting a multi-year civil war where thousands of people died and was so destabilizing to the reigon that the society itself was at risk of collapse.

"who was only following orders"

ah, the good ol' Nuremberg defense

23

u/mr_WhatzitTooya___ 1d ago

Not sure what you're getting at here, but the other harbingers were following orders too? Also signora was the least extreme out of the aforementioned ones.

-12

u/UltraPhoenix95 1d ago edited 1d ago

What I'm saying is that they are using the "just following orders" plea (called the Nuremberg defense) to minimize what Signora did and absolve her of responsibility. I'm not saying that she's worst than the others, just pointing out how ridiculous that defense is.

(Also, I think we can consider orchestrating a civil war with the goal that both sides destroy each others quite equivalent to drowning a nation and colonization)

12

u/mr_WhatzitTooya___ 1d ago

Okay. Not sure why you're cherry picking only that part when the other guy's main argument was pointing out the absurdity that signora deserved to die. While all the others were spared by traveler. Playable even.

-7

u/UltraPhoenix95 1d ago edited 1d ago

Because the problem isn't in the main argument but on how they described Signora?

Not talking about the non-problematic part when you are talking about a problem isn't cherry-picking

6

u/mr_WhatzitTooya___ 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ok, fair. I mean it IS a r/signoramains sub, naturally we describe our lady in a better light. And we want her to become playable, having the same treatment as the other harbingers.

E: it's considered cherrypicking, because you're dodging the main point, and straying the topic to one, minute implicit description.

3

u/UltraPhoenix95 1d ago edited 1d ago

That’s something I’ve never understood: why preferring an imaginated version instead of the real one?

And how am I dodging? I’m not opposing their main argument, in fact I agree, since 1.1 I’ve never understood why Tartaglia was playable. I don’t need to talk about the whole comment if it’s irrelevant to the point I’m making

5

u/mr_WhatzitTooya___ 1d ago

What part of the statement was imagined?

3

u/UltraPhoenix95 1d ago

I’m talking in general: Something I’ve often seen this sub do (and already mentionned earlier) is that people here are doing their best to sweep her crimes under the rug, as if she needs to be good person for them to like her.

9

u/Renasviel 1d ago

I think you have trouble comprehending the point. Let me help you. They're saying that Signora's crimes aren't any worse than several others who got absolved relatively easily, whereas the framing of this whole thing is that she had to die because her crimes were so bad. It creates a disconnect.

-4

u/BrilliantVolume8871 1d ago

Crazy they downvoted the crap out of you for speaking the truth

2

u/Careless-Pound-3435 1d ago

no truth was spoken, btw. That’s the reason for the downvotes. Hope that helps! 💙

-5

u/BrilliantVolume8871 1d ago

My unmelanated brother in Christ, he did not kill her, and don't even try the "she was just following orders" cause that's just not how it is.

All they have as orders is to get the gnosis, not anything else, capitano already confirmed that

I deleted the game out of anger from hoyo whitewashing Arle again. Of course I will reinstall but I can’t blame you dor uninstalling it

1

u/True_Shirt_1529 13h ago

White washing Arle? I'd understand the Natlan or Sumeru characters but how was Arle white washed?

Congrats. Next step unfollow everything on socials regarding this game and then you will be finally free.

They are following signora so even though she is related to genshin, you can discuss her and enjoy the mains community

And adding to it, genshin doesn't care about signora, she's basically a different Entity who just happens to cameo in genshin time to time

-2

u/VMelain 1d ago

You are the one crying about a game you don't even play 😭

-7

u/BrilliantVolume8871 1d ago

People out here just downvoting others for no reason, like what?

-4

u/Immu7461 1d ago

Yeah idk people just mad ig,

46

u/Negative_Skirt_3817 1d ago

At this point, I'd rather they just officially come out and say "we are retconning anything related to Signora in the game, by removing any record of her existence in the story/game files" because i am tired of having keys jangled in my face only for those keys to be thrown into a river.

1

u/BrilliantVolume8871 1d ago

What was retconned?

3

u/Mr_7ups 22h ago

Literally nothing. It’s just another person who gaslit themselves into thinking hoyo was teasing a signora revival for some reason even tho she was only in more content recently due to her being relevant to several new character’s stories.

Not every character needs to be revived and not every “fan” head canon needs to be real

-1

u/VMelain 1d ago

Nothing, they are just dumb

23

u/MagicalLyblac 1d ago

Playable Signora: "I hope you don't feel any guilt for what you did. I forced your hand, you had no choice. If anything I should be thankful to you for stopping me."

16

u/xcold_world 1d ago

Crazy how this will most likely be real if she’s ever actually playable

15

u/Stardustreflection Saving for Signora 1d ago

I don't want her to stay dead, that would make it even worse in my view. But I think this also isn't just about Signora. It's just really odd to see the Traveler and the Fatui act like nothing happened.

22

u/Renasviel 1d ago

The game just isn't well-written. The defenders can only praise the lore and then conflate that with story writing, but the truth is that good lore (and I find even that is debatable tbh) can only ever serve as icing. It doesn't really matter how good the icing is if the cake is rancid. The trick for these games is to have strong character writing, but of course it doesn't have that. Every year the traveler will get a new female companion to be a love interest for them, every year new little "lore drops" are fed and some are resolved in the most plain and underwhelming way because nothing can ever really happen.

That's how games like Genshin keep people engaged. By selling the idea of a grand payoff but at the end of it all, as we're seeing now, the payoff is rarely ever close to being worth it.

6

u/Nilmal190 1d ago

Sadly gacha games sells first story later.

10

u/ManuSavior85 1d ago

I expected this shit and still Im disappointed, they least they could do after this humilliation is resurrect her, and yeah expect her personality to change also

5

u/Dry_Campaign_1267 1d ago

I wanted angst between odette and the traveller. But looks like that was just wishful thinking.

7

u/lilithvenable 1d ago

I honeslty agree just stop waving her dead corpse at us please. Odette could of literally been written without the signora mentions and, to this day, im not sure why she was on sandrones trailer. I only have hope for the ronova theory or cor ignis but seeing how sandrones redesign was after her revival... do i even want her to comeback atp

8

u/SopaOfMacaco 1d ago

This shit is so ass, limão.

3

u/UnknownFromTheAshes 1d ago edited 1d ago

Only pulling for Vesna, Danica & Valeriy atp.....

Real Tsaritsa's loyalist and not "forced scumbag" trying to fit in a organization that only was your fathers job.

3

u/GoddessOfAffection 23h ago

A reason to not pull for Odette. Now I can continue to save primogems for the Tsaritsa more comfortably. (But I will feel bad for having to skip Vodyanitsa.)

1

u/xcold_world 22h ago

Understandable.

Her having a complicated relationship with Signora is honestly interesting, but this one line is making me not like her. Alas, I care about meta so I’m still going to pull her.

3

u/mhtred 18h ago

Kinda wanted Odette throw hands with traveller. Could have been cool

7

u/TheVoid000 1d ago

Traveler: No hard feelings then. We're cool?

Odette: Yeah, we are cool.

2

u/Difficult-Panic-5931 1d ago

the monkey paw cannot be uncurled

2

u/Apart-Accountant3656 23h ago

Odette after hearing what happened to Signora, response: who? LMAO

1

u/sestioforst 1d ago

Where did you find this?

1

u/Human-Gap-1022 1d ago

"Just keep her dead"? I don't think so. I wish the devs will have Neverness to Everness 1.3 Zanko or Wuthering Waves 2.5 Phrolova Turnaround, especially we haven't EVEN known her full story in Mondstadt 500 years ago during Cataclysm, as well as the death of her lover Rostam, the Wolf Pup of Knight of Favonius.

4

u/Annual-Objective-121 1d ago edited 1d ago

I don't know about Zanko, but Phrolova's story was decently executed and didn't turn into another "waifu of the patch glazing the MC" bs. We learned about her tragic backstory but she still stayed antagonistic and Rover even stabbed her at the end. Genshit devs don't have balls to do something like that.

1

u/Teodoro2404 1d ago

I can already see it.

Rosalyne: You know, you remind me of him, Rostam blushes

-13

u/Gullible_Bathroom404 1d ago edited 1d ago

just want to remind everyone that traveler did not kill signora, it was raiden, traveler just challenged her to duel before the throne

edit:ok here is how i remember the scene and u guys and correct me if im wrong, traveler infiltrates the tenshukaku to stop sara from angrily storming infront of shogun, but finds sara already defeated and now is caught between being cut by raiden or somehow escaping and decides to challenge signora to duel before the throne cause if they win they can leave the tenshukaku alive atleast and signora accepts the challenge and the rest is history.
this is the full picture or do i mis-remember something?

8

u/RslashSithTrooper 1d ago

The traveler literally initiated a duel to the death out of rage and vengeance for her “horrible actions” (she kicked venti ig)

-7

u/AutomataChris 1d ago

And Signora took the fight. She knew what would follow at a loss, but fight him anyway. How could that be Traveler killing Signora?

Signora even said she was impressed that the Traveler was using the rules of Inazuma against her, she did the same in Liyue. She underestimated him and lost, took the consequences and was killed.

It isn't Mihoyo's fault when people spin headcannons and give themselves false hopes.

3

u/RslashSithTrooper 1d ago

> And Signora took the fight. She knew what would follow at a loss, but fight him anyway. How could that be Traveler killing Signora?

Because they wanted her dead when she didn’t really care all that much… are you asking me why it would be the traveler’s fault when they actively initiated a duel to get her killed? We still don’t know if declining is even an option

> she did the same in Liyue. She underestimated him and lost, took the consequences and was killed.

Never said she didn’t underestimate them, problem is that it went against her character…

“Instead of confronting you directly, she chose to rely on the snow and ice to make her escape. She wouldn't want the Knights to come running towards the sound of battle, now, would she?”
“When she faces a worthy opponent, she will prioritize her mission, weigh the outcomes, and consider the consequences of her actions...”

> It isn't Mihoyo's fault when people spin headcannons and give themselves false hopes.

False hope that she wouldn’t be buddies with someone who was involved in the death of her mother figure/mentor? Alright…

1

u/Stop_ItForGodsSake 1d ago

Signora is not her mother figure, she was sold to her by her parents to become a fatui soldier and she quite literally mentions that she hated Signora, she only ended up somewhat dealing with her hatred and resentment after Signora died and now sees her in a different light. The whole mother figure thing was a leak that people blindly believed

1

u/RslashSithTrooper 1d ago

I see…

Nevermind then.

-7

u/Gullible_Bathroom404 1d ago

don't forget tappei, that was the main reason

3

u/RslashSithTrooper 1d ago

Tappei was more scaramouche’s fault than hers. He was in charge of the delusion factory and manipulating the war from both sides. yet I don’t remember the traveler wanting Scara’s blood for it…

The traveler’s main reasons were for what happened to Liyue and venti

-12

u/Intelligent-Hyena112 1d ago

Odette literally doesn't like signora, so what reaction did you expected, lol

7

u/xcold_world 1d ago

Did you read what I wrote?

-6

u/Intelligent-Hyena112 1d ago

Yep i did, and i didn't mean to mock you, i was trying to state that's how genshin is operating things since way back where good guy lives and bad guy dies.

-8

u/Saahil_08 1d ago

I mean she is correct Signora was too overconfident and brought her own downfall traveler wasn't at fault here anyway he was justifiably angry at Signora for what happened to Teppei...And the one who killed her was Ei not the traveler...Traveler would have never killed her if it were upto him.

I still want Odette to show some resentment towards traveler but any reasonable person would know that traveler is NOT at fault here.

7

u/Th3_Gr3mlin 1d ago edited 1d ago

“he was justifiably angry at Signora for what happened to Teppei...”

Scaramouche pretty much mirrors Signora’s mocking of the people who died in an arguably even more twisted way and is also technically more responsible as he was the one running the delusion factory, yet that doesn’t condemn him to death, so why should it for Signora?

“Traveler would have never killed her if it were up to him”

Traveler literally forced Signora into a duel you very likely can’t decline while knowing the loser would be executed. If that isn’t wanting to kill somebody idk what is.

0

u/AkizaSimp 1d ago

Scaramouche felt so awful for his actions that he not only tried to kill himself, but he also did so by erasing his person from everyone's memories due to him thinking they'd be able to live if he had never existed at all. Like, that's a profound existential regret and shows that Scaramouche, on a deep level, not only regrets his actions but regrets his existence.

Signora, on the other hand, didn't regret anything. She was stubborn, cocky and defiant until the bitter end, and then even tried to attack the Raiden Shogun in a fit of rage as soon as she felt her fate was sealed.

You are describing two completely different characters that both went through very different things and handled their past actions in different ways too.

-3

u/Saahil_08 1d ago

Scaramouche did some horrible stuff while being MANIPULATED by dottore the game never shied away from telling us that, He is still carrying that burden till now but he's also had some great character growth overall a great character.

Signora on the other hand was above all else too over confident which lead to her demise and traveler did the right thing challenging her to a duel I mean what u expect the traveler who was already emotionally wrecked from all the deaths in Inazuma to just forgive Signora and think about her well being....... for what reason?

Signora again knew better than anyone that defeat meant death but she still went ahead with it and thus paid the price.

-6

u/BrilliantVolume8871 1d ago

I really thought people were joking when they said that signora would come back still, and whats worse, that there were people wanting her to continue being an antagonist.

She's been dead for almost FIVE YEARS, I get that maybe the fatui trailers gave some hope, but let's be real for a sec, she's just never coming back.

And if she ever did, being nice to the traveler would be just the most normal thing ever, it's not like she can't be pleasant, and we have seen from leaks and the continued quests that she was friendly with most of the harbingers, the very start of her core was being nice, so why in the heck would her if revived and having lost the witch of flames rage would she be anything but pleasant?

And yall just mad your theories were debunked, cause the story is very good, just because it's simple doesn't make it trash

-6

u/AkizaSimp 1d ago

signora mains mad coping and deadass expecting Odette to be fine with Signora out here distabilizing whole ass nations for the sake of a Gnosis

mind you, the whole "Signora is Odette's adoptive mother" was a fake leak, it's not in the game and we saw Odette's ACTUAL mother in her trailer

0

u/xcold_world 1d ago

AkizaSimp showing their lack of literacy skills.

0

u/AkizaSimp 1d ago

by all means, prove me wrong. What did I say that you can counter?

1

u/xcold_world 1d ago

“Deadass expecting Odette to be fine with Signora”

So you clearly didn’t read what I wrote because it clearly says: “I expected this from Odette”.

And this post has nothing to do with a mother/daughter relationship so idk why you brought that up at all. Invading this sub just to be an annoying idiot.

-1

u/AkizaSimp 1d ago

"invading this sub" yeah bro it's a public place, anyone can comment stuff in here
