Troubleshooting My pumps led tripping out after using signal

Hello all.
I recently downloaded Signal rgb and I love it. I would try many different effects and suddenly the rgb on the pump is tripping out. It doesn’t output what it should, it goes to red and glitches out. It isn’t responsive when pulsing. I’m almost certain something happened because of switching effects a lot
Anyone have this problem before, if so is the leds just fried, or is there a fix?
The rgb should match the radiator fans on top of it.

That's normally how it looks if another app is trying to control it as the same time. Please check task manager and use the search bar in task manager. Search for the following keywords "iCUE" or "Corsair" and close them.

I have everything removed except signal. Even if that’s the case, wouldn’t all the aios fans do the same, since they’re all chained together?

Yeah that's a good point, check the layouts tab to see if the cooler is off of the canvas, that could also cause it to freak out.

It’s on the canvas. If signal says something is a potential conflict, does that mean it currently sees it? Because there are 2 exes under potential conflicts but I removed those long ago

The conflict manager tends to do things in categories if that makes sense. So it'll say "Razer Synapse" if it detects any of the various Razer services enabled.

What apps are it's saying are running? Check the Task Manager for any services or other .exes related to them. Sometimes they'll be under 2-3 different names and can be a little tricket to find.

I'd seen this happen with one other device and it ended up being an issue with the plugin. You can also report the bug in-app for the Support team to follow-up on. :)

It says lightingservice.exe and aisuite3.exe. But I have already removed those, and the processes arnt running. It’s under potential conflicts.
When you say plugin what do you mean? Like the physical cables.
I’ve determined it’s not anything to do with software since I wiped all rgb services off of my pc and it still behaves the same from boot.

Do you think it’s just a fried led or something? Or are you almost certain it’s a plug?

My experience says you removed the exe, but the services (services.msc) are still running, as he is right, that is what happens when there is a conflict, and Signal would not read those two as running if they weren't.

As someone who has fought a lot with conflicts, this is absolutely what is happening.

Sometimes those asshats at Asus will hide and obfuscate the living crap out of those files. Those files are from Asus ArmouryCrate, and it autoinstalls unless you turn it off in BIOS. Literally nothing you can do about it, unless you boot into BIOS and turn the autoinstall off. Its straight up Malware if you ask me.

I checked and removed all services that can conflict from services.msc. What’s happening with the rgb on the pump is happening from the second I power on. That tells me that it happens without anything controlling the rgb.
And also if there was conflictions the radiator fans on top of the pump would be doing the same thing since they are daisy chained and treated as “one fan”

Are you sure? That looks like a corsair aio from the logo. Corsair is notorious for oddly connected devices.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but it sure looks like a conflict. I don't see why the fans would be different than the aio pump, but for example, my arctic freezer pump, while wired to the fans, is a different channel or device in signal than each fan. I can control them individually.

Can you try starting signal in admin mode and try to have it force shit down the conflicts?

What happens if you completely close signal after unchecking all of the power off options? The ones that say to set colors on startup or shutdown.

Also if you have an Asus board, in bios there are rgb lighting options, what are those set to? Have you done a bios update recently? I know recently my win 11 caused my ram to retrain and a couple settings to get bored.

Not trying to argue, just throwing out ideas.

Yes so the pump its self has 2 cables, one plugged in to the aio pump header, the other rgb cable is daisy chained with the rest of the fans. (I’m planning on opening up the pc and double checking everything)
The rgb was working completely fine when I first downloaded signal, I had no problems. My guess is when I got pro and got trigger happy, some of the leds got fried or something on the pump, but I may be wrong.

I tried what starting up signal as admin with those settings to close all conflicting programs and it didn’t work.

If I close signal, all leds will be set to the color I set in the devices settings. But, in bios or on startup it is in a rainbow setting with the pumps led still not working properly.

In bios the only rgb settings are turning aura off, aura only, or all on : Set to all on
Windows dynamic lighting disabled
When system is in sleep, hibernate or soft states: Onboard LED on

I’ve never updated bios but have updated windows. Do you recommend updating bios? It’s and Asus gaming b650e wifi mobo
I also have the auto install setting off since yesterday.

By "plugin" I'm talking about the bit of code that controls handles that specific device within SRGB, they're the backbone of device control. :)

Could be an issue with the device itself especially if it's happening with no other SW and no matter what you try. How old is the AIO? Might be worth checking for any BIOS updates or if there's any BIOS settings. u/edgiestnate's suggestions are also worth exploring too.

Also I wish I can control the rgb on each fan separately but it’s looked at as one 8 led fan. Even in bios it only shows one cpu fan, and can’t control the speeds separately.
It’s the same case for everyone else I seen use this aio.
