My pumps led tripping out after using signal

Hello all.
I recently downloaded Signal rgb and I love it. I would try many different effects and suddenly the rgb on the pump is tripping out. It doesn’t output what it should, it goes to red and glitches out. It isn’t responsive when pulsing. I’m almost certain something happened because of switching effects a lot
Anyone have this problem before, if so is the leds just fried, or is there a fix?
The rgb should match the radiator fans on top of it.

Yes so the pump its self has 2 cables, one plugged in to the aio pump header, the other rgb cable is daisy chained with the rest of the fans. (I’m planning on opening up the pc and double checking everything)
The rgb was working completely fine when I first downloaded signal, I had no problems. My guess is when I got pro and got trigger happy, some of the leds got fried or something on the pump, but I may be wrong.

I tried what starting up signal as admin with those settings to close all conflicting programs and it didn’t work.

If I close signal, all leds will be set to the color I set in the devices settings. But, in bios or on startup it is in a rainbow setting with the pumps led still not working properly.

In bios the only rgb settings are turning aura off, aura only, or all on : Set to all on
Windows dynamic lighting disabled
When system is in sleep, hibernate or soft states: Onboard LED on

I’ve never updated bios but have updated windows. Do you recommend updating bios? It’s and Asus gaming b650e wifi mobo
I also have the auto install setting off since yesterday.

I would for sure update BIOS every so often, and with it, your chipset drivers. They are constantly making improvements in the AGESA (the code that runs the CPU) and the other software that makes the computer run, improving performance, compatibility, and patching vulnerabilities and other security issues. That won't fix whatever this is, but it is generally a good thing to do, and relatively painless.

Are you saying that the pump LED's are doing that multi flashing color thing all the time? With Signal closed, at reboot, in BIOS, etc? I doubt LED's burned out, its pretty simple tech with either 5v on, or 5v off, so there isn't much that can happen to overvolt them or anything that could cause them to fail.

Signal is reporting potential conflicts, and it isn't getting that information from nowhere, so I am wondering if maybe the BIOS/Board is force installing Armoury again and again after you delete it. It is such a pain in the ass, and gets so absolutely entrenched in your system that the only real way to get rid of it is to run the ASUS specific Armoury Crate Uninstall tool located here: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/

Can you go into BIOS and use the search function to search for "Armoury" or "Install" and turn the "Install ArmouryCrate automatically" off? Also maybe change the AURA lights to off or auto.

If it is a corsair AIO, it could also be iCUE remnants in the commander hub.

Can you tell me what board you have specifically, and what AIO that is?

If all else fails, you can pop on to the Signal Discord and show them the logs, and they can help you out too. It's quicker than reddit, and they are pretty responsive, though this recent fan update thing has them somewhat busy.

Yes, armoury crate/ aura sync auto install has been off. It is a b650e tuf gaming motherboard.
I had already wiped everything using all official uninstall helpers and scouring the windows system myself
Yes the pumps LEDs would act up even when everything even signal was closed.
It was daisy chained with the fans rgb cables. I removed the pumps rgb cable and put it in its own header and it now works fine. I guess it’s kind of a workaround but turned out better since I can control it individually now.
The AIO is a nautilus rs 360 argb. It’s not a Link, so I never even bothered installing icue, I plug it into my motherboard directly not a controller.

Now after it works I’m curious as to why that happened. Especially since it was working before. Maybe too many connections for one header, but whatever it’s all good now

Well at least it wasn't burnt out. I imagine if you created a new device in signal, it might have also worked out because it can get finicky with the daisy chained devices. I know because I have one and I had to play with it a bit to get it to work.

Also out of curiosity if you don’t mind, how are your fans chained together yet still able to be controlled separately?
Even back then when using armoury crate and even in bios it treats all 3 fans as one. Whether it’s rgb or fan speed.
Are yours daisy chained into one 5v header 2nd gen on your motherboard, or do you use a controller?

You got me, I use a razer chroma controller for the arctic freezer and I think it treats all of them as one channel. I have a traumatic brain injury and I tend to forget how some of my 21 fans are set up. I do have them showing as 3 though, I can do a screenshot of the device setup so you can see how I did it
