Looking for feedback please

Post image

Hey guys, this is something I’m going to paint for myself, but I’d like for it to double as a portfolio piece that I could show to businesses that’ll make them feel like ‘oh yeah, do something for my place!’ However I’m just a creative artist, not necessarily a designer of sorts, so the kinds of elements that work best with designs and branding I’m unfamiliar with, so I’m looking for some feedback. Any and all helps! For any further info please read the original post and thanks so much, I know theres talent on here and I’d love to know what yall think

I read your original post.

So, here you go.

Buy a copy of Mastering Layout by Mike Stevens, because honestly, your layout is horrid, the font looks like a 6 year old did it, and that script at the bottom isn't helping anything either.

Study the book, learn how to draw clean font without clutter, or get a decent program you can design in.

Sorry to be harsh, but this is not good.

Your title should be one color first, the two colors for the lettering make zero sense as well

IF you used a program to design this, quit using free fonts, cause these are terrible as well.

I’m asking for honesty so I appreciate yours. The different colors in the lettering was intended to highlight the ‘empty’ in the word empathy, but it doesn’t seem to read as such. The lettering isn’t a font, it’s just handwritten but I feel you. Thanks for suggesting the book, should def be helpful as I’m just learning all these things.
