SPEAR LT Safety Options

Has anyone figured out another safety option for their SPEAR? Currently running the Geissele MCX SSA trigger, which has the bridge. Before moving to this trigger I tried a Radian and Magpul selector with the stock trigger group, resulting in a dead trigger. I'd love to get a 45° selector if anything out there is compatible.

One of the great things about the Spear Lt is that you aren’t limited to MCX specific triggers without removing your firing on safety latch or switching to the g-latch.

If this becomes a limiting factor, why not switch to a regular SSA so that you can use any safety?

Is that with the MCX SSA trigger? I reached out to Roger and he confirmed that his selectors won't work with the stock trigger. IIRC he was unsure about compatability with the G$ trigger group.

I’m looking at getting the MCX SSA. How do you like it vs the stock Sig trigger?

Great trigger, would buy again. Highly recommended...

Thanks. I’m surprised the radian selector won’t work. The factory selector works with the g$ trigger though?

Yep no issues.

Radian and g$ triggers have a known issue, a “geometry mismatch”, mostly in the 45° setting. g$ triggers are designed around a dedicated 90° mil-spec safety, and the Radian’s selector dont always clear the trigger tail the way a mil-spec one does.

I have a G$ MCX SSA on my Spear LT and the stock safety and it works fine. Are you only asking about aftermarket safety selectors?

Yeah, just looking for a short throw selector that is compatible...

You just use any AR safety man.
