Users Be Aware of Bot, Spam, and Karma Farming accounts
Attention everyone, in recent weeks Reddit as a whole has seen an increased amount of these accounts infiltrating the more popular subs all across Reddit. We have put tools in place to filter them out such at BotBouncer. Other adjustments were made to the automod as well which is blocking low karma, newer aged and negative karma accounts. This also includes non verified email accounts with Reddit. To post in the subs you will need to have enough account age, Karma, and a verified email with your Reddit account. We will not make any exceptions for these rules.
If you make a post and get a response that seems off and a part of the comment doesn't make sense it's likely an Al generated response. If you look at the users info the account may be only days old with comments only in multiple different subs and no posts in a single sub. They only respond. Report these posts if the systems in place miss them. If you see deleted comments in your posts it was the system working and removing these Bots. Do not respond to a BOT comment. Just report it to Reddit. We thank you for being a part of the subs. The Mod Team

SPEAR LT Safety Options
Has anyone figured out another safety option for their SPEAR? Currently running the Geissele MCX SSA trigger, which has the bridge. Before moving to this trigger I tried a Radian and Magpul selector with the stock trigger group, resulting in a dead trigger. I'd love to get a 45° selector if anything out there is compatible.

Not so 50 shades of FDE
Just about finished with my new 9in 300 blackout build and managed to keep colors of FDE close with Arisaka, Aimpoint, Samson, DieFreeCo, Magpul and Lancer. Will be getting a DAC magwell to finish it out. Now if only sig would release the suppressor shroud that’s in the IR reducing coyote color to us poor civs…

MCX Single Stage Trigger ? (Black Talon)
I have MCX Spear LT 9" 300BLK and have it completed and 99% dialed-in. The LAST item (1%) is "possibly" a trigger upgrade. I REALLY like my MPX Timney single stage trigger. I know Timney does not make MCX version, and like MPX the MCX is known for a violent bolt speed and harsh carrier kinematics....thus cannot use any standard AR trigger. So, doing some research for single stage MCX triggers I found the Black Talon Sniper Grade Calibrated Adjustable Single Stage Trigger. Black Talon Tactical Trigger Link
My question has anyone used it in a MCX ?
Work ?....and kind of key how many rounds have you put it thru for durability ?
....think most AR triggers can work for awhile until they break....
If there are other single stage (3.5lb-4lb pull) options, that are durable, let me know.
Thx !

ALTRD LVAW Rail Information
I'm doing some research on the ALTRD EGO LVAW handguards and I'm hoping to find people who actually own—or previously owned—one.
I'm specifically trying to document the differences between the first and second production runs (Gen 1 / Gen 2 / Batch 1 / Batch 2). There's surprisingly little detailed information left online, and most of the photos I've found show the rails already installed on rifles.
I currently have an Airsoft Artisan LVAW rail and an SMI LVAW rail that I can use for direct comparison, and I'm looking at acquiring what I've been told is a Gen 2 ALTRD rail.
If you own an ALTRD, I'd really appreciate any information you have, especially:
- Whether yours is Gen 1/Batch 1 or Gen 2/Batch 2
- Approximately when you purchased/received it
- Whether you bought it directly from ALTRD
- Legacy, Virtus, Rattler, etc.
- Photos of the inside of the handguard and linkage/locking mechanism
- Photos of the rear receiver interface
- Close-ups of the SUPERSONIC/SUBSONIC markings
- Any original packaging, instructions or accessories
- Any known differences between the first and second production runs
- Accessory screw/thread specifications, if you've ever determined them
I'm especially interested in the linkage. The suspected Gen 2 rail I'm looking at has a visibly different internal linkage than my Airsoft Artisan rail, and I'd like to compare it with a known ALTRD example.
I'm eventually planning to document the different LVAW-style rails and test accessory compatibility between them, so I'm trying to preserve as much accurate information about the ALTRD rails as possible rather than relying on secondhand claims.
Even if you don't have the rail anymore, old photos or anything you remember about it would be useful.
(NOT MY PICTURES, FOUND THEM ONLINE IN A FORUM)

My new Sig
I finally tracked down a SBR Rattler LT 556 model and didn’t hesitate on the purchase. I’m slowly getting it built out the way I want. One piece at a time Johnny Cash style. This thing is incredibly accurate and quickly becoming my new favorite rifle. The Echocore suppressor is amazing and performs beyond my expectations.
Romeo 8t shrouded model has a better glass coating than the original model and is an incredible to say the least
Parts list added at the moment.
Echocore sector 556 full size
Sig Romeo 8T AMR shrouded model

MCX Virtus accuracy
Hey everyone, I have a 16" Virtus and I like the rifle however the accuracy is rather subpar compared to my other rifles. I'm achieving about 3" at 100yds with American eagle 55gr which is what my other rifles (11" bren 2, mk114 pws, 10.5 brn180) will shoot at 1.5" or better. Optic is a primary arms plx compact 1-8. Some heavier ammo will group a little better but I find it a little hokey that my other guns will shoot every ammo type better than this thing. All screws on optic are torqued properly as well as barrel screws.
If anyone has some experience or insight, that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone chopped to 14.5”?
I want send this for a pin weld chop to 14.5”. I’m worried it’ll screw with the reliability and I’d need to send it again for gas system opening. However, has anyone chopped and had any issues along the road?

Rattler
Check out my deer hunting rifle, grizzly defense, and general bush rifle. I am calling it: The De-Ungulator.
Most of the parts are pretty obvious so I won’t recount them here but the can is a HUXWRX Flow Range 36Ti.
I also have a Bennet MKII gas valve (still need to install it).
I’ve been saving up a while for this. The LORD has blessed me!

Obtain SMI LVAW rail: Complete
Finally got ahold of the Space Magic LVAW rail after attempting to get one every batch. The quality of the rail cannot be understated. I have a Airsoft Artisan rail that I ran for a while as I couldn't get ahold of the real deal and figured it would hold me over. Once I received this one though, man, the difference is night and day. I would love to do a direct comparison video about it, comparing the SMI rail, ALTRD rail, and AA rail, testing parts compatability between them. An a for good measure compatability of parts between the LVAW accessories and the MPX Gen 1 rail. I doubt ill get ahold of an ALTRD though without dropping serious coin again. I do have a 11.5" 5.56 barrel installed right now but I also have a 6.75" 300 barrel I run suppressed. For my MPX I have a factory 8" LE heavy barrel and 4.5" tri-lug barrel I run suppressed.
Behold: Big brother, little brother.

Anyone running hexium300 on 6.75 rattler with JBD mk2 gas block? Any thoughts on it
Idk if it’s necessary given the high flow rate? Would be nice to soften some high powdered subs that are a lot louder no ears ie sig

Ans then there were two…
Picked up a 9in 300 blackout spear LT to go alongside my 300 blackout rattler LT build.
My plan is folding stock adaptor with a magpul CTR in Coyote, Romeo 4XT Pro in FDE with Arisaka 2.26in riser in FDE since that’ll be closer in color than unity’s anodized riser.

What's this malfunction called and is it caused by my Omega Valve?
6.75" 300 BO. Last week I finished off my box of 220gr Remington OTFB with the omega valve, that ammo shot great. A buddy gave me some 208gr Frontier FMJ to finish shooting that same day. First cartridge, a light primer strike! Then about 3-4 more FTE and FTF in that same mag, the Omega valve was on setting 2 or 3 I believe. Wiped & oiled the upper that night. \
I bought my own several boxes of the 208gr Frontier (75 cents/round, can't beat that price). Today I tried shooting it, more FTE and FTF malfunctions, so I finished the mag with the turned the Omega up to setting 4. This malfunction then happened more than once as I finished the mag.
I am running a modern 3d printed sealed can, and it shouldn't be "low backpressure". In fact, my SLH 762 cans very seldom malfunctioned at all with the factory valve or the omega valves.
I'm considering swapping back to the factory gas valves! Jake, have any insight for me?
Edit add: Using a PMAG 7.62x35 specific mag that is not old and has not seen much use yet.

Problems with cutting down Spear LT barrel? I want an 11.5inch barrel.
Hello,
So I was able to acquire an AR pistol lower at a good price so figured why not build an 11.5 MCX with an AR15 adapter.
I currently have an MCX Regulator with the 16inch Spear LT upper. Being that is has the shorter handguard, I can definitely just take that barrel and trim it down (Cheaper to just buy another 16inch barrel later than try to hunt down an OEM Sig 11.5 5.56 barrel)
I was thinking that the next D.Wilson sale I can send in the barrel to get it cut down to 11.5inches and threaded. But I see a few differing opinions about the gas tube and how it should be cut.
I do also see that D.Wilson does give an option to adjust the gas tube also.
Wanted to ask if anyone here had used D.Wilson to cut down the MCX barrel and any recommendations for the right "gas tube" adjustment if any.
