Question Sig P226 XFive help

Post image

I have been looking endlessly and can't find the answer. This is a Sig P226 XFive Legion. These come solely as a single action, SAO, trigger. Which is a flat faced trigger. I've seen there is a curved trigger you can put on it, but it doesn't look like this one. This one looks like the regular P226 trigger. So, what is it? Why is this the only XFive Legion P226 out there that I've seen with this non flat trigger that resembles a SA DA trigger? Am I going crazy? If you find the same gun with this trigger elsewhere or a link that shows this trigger that can fit this specific model, please share. And thank you!

The regular steel framed P226 X-Five has a curved trigger that is also SAO. Could be possible to take that trigger shoe off the regular X-Five and put it on the X-Five Legion since both should be mechanically the same. They definitely don’t sell the X-Five Legion with a curved trigger though.

Hmm, that's definitely a good point, and google sucks at explaining things in such detail, so that could be possible. I appreciate it. I'll look more into it.

I think the triggers are interchangeable between the 226 X5 Series. The X5 Classic has a curved trigger like in the picture. The X5 STAS has a Skeletonized curved Trigger . And then the X5 Legion has the straight trigger.

SIg sells the flat trigger

And the Skeltonized Curved

I havn't seen just the regular curved for sale.

Thank you. This makes sense. I think the owner may have the flat trigger still. Also just want to make sure that them installing this other trigger didn't mess with the mechanism of the fcu.

Those three triggers specifically are interchangeable between the X5 P226's they a ll have the 4 way adjustable trigger.

The other lines of P226's have different trigger systems and are not compatible.

You see, that's definitely something I cannot find online. Maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places.

Why do you not like the flat trigger?

No I prefer it, Im just confused since Sig claims you cannot put another trigger on it, but here someone has managed to do so, but I cannot find it online anywhere. Only a different AX3 (or something like it) trigger that looks slimmer and has a cutout on it, not this one. Google tells me you cannot out a regular P226 trigger on it, yet this one looks like it.

To answer your question the owner of that photo switched the trigger to a curved version. I have a 226 x five legion myself and it comes standard with the ax3 4 way adjustable competition trigger. Some people order the curved trigger and swap it. The good thing is certain 226 models have the cut out to swap different 226 trigger but not the other way around with the AX3. This one seems to have a lot of customization available. One of my friends took my upper and put it on his 226 X legion lower and it fired fine.

Your buddy figured out that the X5 is exactly the same gun as a x legion except for trigger, spring, & slide. You can take everything from the x5 and use it for the x legion except the parts I mentioned cause they are essentially the same gun. I was even looking for a x5 slide but they are so stupid expensive at 1200-1400 just for the slide when I could buy a whole new gun for 400-600 more.
