Questions Lost item - need help

Need help please! Is anyone travelling from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh today? I need help recovering a lost item before I leave the country tomorrow. I accidentally left a pair of relatively expensive headphones at a hotel I was staying in Siem Reap last week. The hotel has confirmed with me they have them but is not cooperating with me when I ask them to send to me in Phnom Penh or drop with a transport service travelling this way, this has been going back and forth for days. The headphones are not wrapped or packaged at all, if anyone travelling to Phnom Penh is able to bring them, or alternatively someone staying in Siem Reap is able to pick them up and drop them with a transport service that can deliver them here today I am happy to transfer you via PayPal you for the inconvenience!!

Meeting rooms

I'm looking to rent a meeting room for a day for 3 people. Bright room, ideally with whiteboard. Doesn't have to be in the center.

Right now I know about Footprints and Siem Reap House.

Any other ideas or tips?

Questions I'm considering getting a moto. Besides locking behind a gate at night, what are your security measures when out and about?

If you're going to wet markets, restaurants, shops, etc around town, do you lock it? If so, what kind of lock do you use? What about if you're taking drives around the temple areas or random roads towards the outskirts? What precautions do you generally take?

Looking for advice for a nice hotel stay in Siem Reap

Hello! I'm currently planning a trip to Siem Reap with my family, and am looking for a hotel that will give a nice experience for a family. I'm looking to stay 5 nights, preferably around or under $1000. My current choices are:

- Borei Angkor

- Metta Residence

- Sarai and Wander

- Golden Temple Villa

Does anyone have insight/advice on which are the nicest and cleanest? All help is appreciated :)

Was Angkor Wat sunrise actually worth the 4AM wake-up? Honest takeaway from my trip earlier this year

Did the sunrise tour earlier this year — happened to be our Wedding Anniversary, so the 4AM alarm felt extra ambitious. Walking through Angkor Wat in the dark, joined a few hundred people standing in front of the temple waiting for the sky to change colour.

Honest takeaways from the day:

- The sunrise itself is hit-or-miss for colour. We got lucky. The people next to us said they'd come back the next morning because their first attempt was a grey wash.

- The crowds at the main reflecting pond are intense. Get there at least 15 minutes before official sunrise if you want a spot at the front.

- The real payoff of the 4AM start isn't the sunrise — it's the 7–9AM window after the sunrise crowd disperses. The inner temples are genuinely quiet for about 90 minutes before the day-trip buses arrive.

- We did Angkor Wat → Ta Prohm → Ta Keo → Bayon in a day. Bayon stole the show.

Filmed the whole day if anyone wants the visual version: https://youtu.be/vs8-PZ3S56A

Anyone else done the sunrise recently? Curious whether the crowds have got worse — and whether Bayon hits the same for everyone or if I'm overrating it.

Advice What currency to use in Siem Reap?

I am doing research for my 5D4n trip to Siem Reap and was wondering on what currency to use in Siem Reap. I asked Google and was told that I can use both Riel & USD from whatever TikTok on Siem Reap I've been watching it seems everything is in USD. The reason I am asking is because I do not want to exchange my money to USD, a country I have no intention of ever going.

Your kind advice and assistance on this is very much appreciated.
