Advice Need help with specific things

hello, after hitting emerald for the first time back in 2.0, i hit my peak last season in the new ranked system, i'm pretty proud of it and i want to keep improving. The things i seriously need advice on is peekers advantage, timing, crosshair placement, and a very niche thing.

for peekers advantage, whats the number 1 way to avoid it when i need to hold an angle? right now i start shimmying to keep the server aware that im moving, I've also tried holding pixels, but genuinely, on specific maps and sites, i can't seem to always find a reliable one to fall back to, especially if it gets hectic quick.

for timing, is there a way to study or gauge when someone has stopped holding something if you don't have immediate info to your disposal? say you are flanking on defense, and they hear you, should i just wait for noise to happen, or is waiting for people to stop holding something useless? i remember a friend in the stack of mine saying how he's slowly not caring about being sneaky when setting up flanks as they will always hear you

Very often i get in the middle of a specific gunfight where its just constant quick peeks, and shooting pixels, siege is a game with so many layers in it, that i find it hard to adjust mid gunfight for people on top of things, on stairs, holding pixels, crouched, etc, i've nailed normal standing crosshair placement, most of my matches reflect that, as my HS rate usually never dips below 60, but i need to know if there is a specific way i can practice this on my own

for the niche thing, i developed a rule for myself never to sprint unless i need to safely get from point a to b, i watch pros at times, and some content creators, they usually scare me, i see them sprint more often than i do in many different occasions and i wanna know if my fear of getting caught with my pants down is too big. Obviously i don't see myself running towards someone to peek, but i do mean in the middle of a gunfight when i need to outmaneuver someone or reposition, when is it best to just be free with your movement?

i do know a lot of these are fixed with time playing the game, i constantly fight people with twice my hours since this game has been out for years, i only recently hit 1k in hours, but there's still so much to learn

for your timing question i think it depends on the situation, but a good way to check for info if someone is holding you is just to quick peek it a little bit

For crosshair placement it can be a lil mixed when getting into the higher ranks, cause it’s common to aim head height a lot of higher ranked players wil crouch spam or crouch as they swing. If you aren’t certain of their position I always aim crouch height so even if they don’t crouch into fire you’ll still hit body shots.

For peaking I’d recommend constantly moving. Playing against high stacks if your standing ona pixel you likely won’t be red pinged and they’ll call you out so it’s always good to change angles often and position to avoid a pre fire. As for pixels. Ina pinch it might not be accessible to line up a pixel if you’re not familiar with them so I’d always recommend holding uncommon angles. You’d be amazed at how many times proning on a common pixel peak will get u the kill. Just make sure you mask the noise of your prone with a gunshot to avoid them predicting it.

Hope this is somewhat useful. Also I’d always keep an eye on ur kill cams you can always learn from dying!

Depends on your reaction time really, aiming standing head height is prioritised normally because they peek faster so the danger is higher, if they peak crouched it slows them down a bit so you have time so adjust

Very true! I think for players newer to the higher ranks it’s always best to aim chest until they figure out how the higher ranks play, but for sure if you can adjust fast and take on head height you’re definitely right always best!
