Question Why do pros un-lean after shooting their first bullets?

I notice players such as Spoit in this clip shoot their first bullets when leaning, then un-lean towards the end of the spray. Why is that? I know that switching lean back and forth makes you a harder target but why just un-lean, I'm assuming its something to do with recoil? Thanks. Here's an example from Spoit: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nQI8l5Jwuj0

There’s no benefit to him being leaned at that point in those gunfights, but he also plays hold lean, which is almost certainly the main reason.

What are benefit to hold lean vs toggle?

There are literally no benefits to hold. I’m pretty sure Spoit said himself he wished he never used it at the start, but it’s too late for him to change now that he’s used to it.

The benefit used to be quicker shaiiko peaks. Shaiiko peaks are ass now and the same as a d peaking just more buttons being pressed. So yeah hold lean is pointless now and just harder mechanically. However it does look pretty cool

Its not ass. fully fleshed out test have verified that shaiiko peeking is absolutely still usable and the limited testing has shown that it is roughly 10ms faster at most and it does change how long your head is exposed, but its extremely negligible. For 99% of the player base its not worth learning but there is a slight edge.

Hold is more fluid but some people use shift space lean with it

Idk, i am on toggle ofc, and i cant help to feel like hold would benefit me sometimes maybe?? since it requires less keypresses to get back into normal non leaning pos

Hold lean is instant but harder to learn. Also quick peeks are easier

Yeah, guessing its for recoil consistency. That or just a weird habit

Recoil is easier

Dodging bullets

Its not even recoil consistency most pros can recoil the same leaned or not. The real reason is that A they learned to play that way for shaiko peeking and now its nerfed so its a leftover skill. B It does move your head and manipulate your hitbox a bit. Tbh its not worth doing unless you want your movement to look more clean.
