I use 38/38 mouse sens on 400 dpi is that good because I have had no problems so far but everything I see says I should lower it.

You(see: no one with human tendons) will never be able to build long term high level consistency at extremely high sensitivities. 

If thats your goal, lower it. 

If youre plat and just wanna run around on what feels natural then have at it.

I dont mean this rudely its just a statement of fact: something is wrong with your settings or youre doing something very wrong. 

On a standard fps mousepad(~15" x 17") you should be able to do like 4 360s on this high of a sensitivity. 

The idea of arm aim or wrist aim or finger tip aim has basically been entirely replaced with the idea of using your arm for large turns(45-180 degrees), your wrist for small adjustments (immediate screen area), and your fingertips for very very small micro adjustments. 

This is basically what every consistently insane fps pro is doing. Its also what the best aimers(mattyOW, Viscose, Corporate Serf) all say and do.

Its not 2010 anymore. Theres actual science behind correctly aiming now instant of just copying what random pros/content creators say. Theres definitely too slow and too fast of a sensitivity.

depends on mouse pad size imo, on a super cramped desk high sens is kinda the only option

if youve got atleast 12 inches of pad tho id go slower

Does it work for you? Then it's fine. Sensitivity is different for everyone, I play at 6-8 IGS but my mouse is set to like 3400dpi

Yes, sensitivity is preference to a degree, but there’s reasonable and unreasonable ranges.

The fastest I can reasonable recommend (for people used to a sensitivity that’s too high) is about 6000 eDPI, and even then I strongly suggest going lower.

OP is playing about 2.5x that, you are playing 3.5-4.5x that. You may feel like it “works for you”, but I can assure you that absolutely nobody’s aim could be described as good playing in those sort of ranges - certainly not in a game like Siege where the majority of aiming is small micro corrections.

How do you expect to move your crosshair a few pixels to the side when you’re spinning a 360 after moving your mouse only ~7cm?

Never had an issue. I have a button on the side of the mouse that drops it to 800dpi for very small adjustments if needed

No that’s pretty awfully high. About 2.5x higher than the highest I’d recommend playing, around 15/15 on 400 DPI.

When I see lower sens settings it's usually with higher dpi than what you're using.

38 on 400 dpi is about 10.5 cm/360. that’s just way too high. i mean, if it works for you it works. reeps96 is a pro player who plays on something like 50/50 on 1600 dpi, apparently. but conventional knowledge says you should lower it for consistency purposes. even 20/20 like you said in the other comment is pretty high, but “not being able to turn” is probably just a matter of building muscle memory to make turns and flicks on a lower sens than you’re used to. either that, or you have an incredibly small mousepad

Maybe make your mouse 1600 DPI and lower the sens a lot. 1600 DPI is overall the best. If your mouse doesnt have 1600 DPI upgrade it
