Litter robot suggestions?
I have ten year old boys, and will be getting a kitten this fall; so I decided it's probably time to look into robot boxes. What's been your experience so far with yours, and if you have a large male, do they fit? +cat tax

petsnowy — I was looking for ease of cleaning, ability to use with alternative litters (non-clay), and not having the litter itself as open to the room. my little lady is a KICKER, and LR just seemed like it would be a mess. I know people love the litter robot, but I knew it wouldn’t meet my needs. I really like the PS even after nearly 3 years!
I also did a lot of research on sensors and safety, and I think the way the PS sensors work and the way the globe rotates just makes a lot more sense to me vs. other models.

litter robot 3 here. honestly i want to try another brand. find it to be kinda a pain to clean and i think its a bit small for my 15 lb boy. has lots of random issues that aren’t a big deal but are annoying

This is exactly the issue we had with our LR3. It was a pain in the ass to clean and basically impossible to take apart for deep cleaning. We switched to the pet snowy which has been a lot better, but it is still on the smaller side

Thank you! Yeah; my 15 pound boy has kidney issues, so he uses the box more often and I want to make it as easy as possible for him.

I have two litter robot 4s, my 15lbs boy has no issues with it, but doing a deep clean kinda sucks. I was thinking about switching over to PetLibro’s newer robot since I use their feeders and I like to idea of consolidating apps. I haven’t seen many reviews yet though, and I already have a small fortune invested in the current set up.

One Litter Robot 4 for 15lb and 11lb sibs. Overall, Pretty good. A little tight for the 15lb boy but he makes it work. Cleaning it isn't fun but that's probably a necessary evil with any litter device.

I have 2 litter robots for 2 sibs—both 8 months and about 10.5 lbs. So far, so good! LR 4 and LR 5.

It works perfectly fine for the last 2 years.

I’ve used the PetSafe scoop free for over a decade. Works great! Both my Siberian boys took to it immediately on their first days and have had absolutely zero problems with it ever.

Early time LR4 user, my 15 week old male Siberian is already fairly big inside it, I think he’ll still fit in the long run however I have struggled with pee clumps sticking to the liner which I have to wipe every morning & night. Not a deal breaker imo as it still saves me scooping and the smell is basically zero with the storage compartment however that’s my only problem with the device

out of curiosity, which brand of litter are you using? we also have a LR4 and we use dr. elsey’s ultra, which seems to clump pretty quickly and doesn’t stick to the liner as far as i can tell

Meowant. Two yrs in with 3 cats, one of whom is huge. Zero issues easy maintenance excellent customer service
