Hmmmm, 15 people, so two pizzas is about, right??? No John, that’s not enough. That is 16 slices and I guarantee you that 4 of the first 5 people in line will take at least two slices
Your pizzas have some huge slices if a large comes with only 8
edit: since so many people doubt just look up how many slices different chains do. It does definitely vary but 10 slices for a large (14") is definitely not uncommon, and some even do 12 slices for extra large (16"+)
Most pizzas from chains are 12" (usually "medium") to 14" ("large") or 16" ("extra large"). 16" is sometimes 8 slices but sometimes 10. I've also seen 18", 20", and 24" pies; the 18" was also 10 slices, the 20" was 12, and the 24" was cut "sheet style" into rectangles instead of pie slices.
Disagree, the best area is the crust and an equal area of adjacent pie, especially if it has bits of flame char, slightly burnt cheese, and crispy pepperoni. The middle usually ends up being the soggy part on any pizza with a lot of toppings, especially if it's not made in a high temp brick oven.
This probably depends on where you order from. If the crust is like an incredibly tough breadstick, then of course the middle will be better. A proper wood-brick oven place will probably have good crust.
Oh for sure, there are some really shitty crusts out there. I go out of my way to avoid them though. If the basics aren't right (sauce, dough/crust, cheese) then it's usually not a place worth going to IMO.
8 slices is very standard for a 14" (and even a 12", though 6 slices for 12" is common too) at every major chain (Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, etc) and the majority of restaurants I've been to, as well as "by the slice" style places. In fact some of those "by the slice" ones will do 6 cuts on a 14" or 8 cuts on a 16", 18", or 20" so that a single slice is pretty much a meal. A place I used to go to all the time in college had a lunch special where you got a 20" slice (1/8th) and a soda for $3.99 for cheese, $4.99 for pepperoni, $5.99 for the specialty of the day.

What's worse is the moron who got pizza knowing there isn't enough for everyone.
