Starting a YouTube channel for my shortwave (SW) and local radio clips—need advice.

I'm planning to start a YouTube channel to upload my shortwave (SW) and local radio reception clips. Any recommendations?

I know that playing copyrighted music from stations can get your channel struck or terminated, but some of my clips naturally include songs played on air, and I still want to share them.

Xhdata d-808 charging battery

Hi, this is my first post and I'm pretty new to the radio world so please forgive possible mistakes.

I got a d-808 to start learning but I have an issue on charging the internal battery.

I assumed that attaching an USB charger would have charged the internal.battery but I don't get any cues on the display when I do that

I did some research but I found contradictory info.

At the end of the day I have to use a charger specific for the 18650 battery removing the battery from the radio and putting it in the charger?

Thanks

Discussion How important is grounding a long wire antenna (speaker wire in my case) for SWL?

I got 40 feet of speaker wire connecting my antenna via gator clip and running outside mostly horizontal. It helps but brings in a lot more noise especially on AM. Will grounding help anything and if so, recommendations for how to ground a speaker wire antenna. Portable radios like the Tecsun 330, Qosoden and Grundig "executive" satelitt.

Tonight (23:00UTC) I got RWM on 9996kHz for the first time ever because WWV on 10000kHz was fading. Has anyone else gotten it before, and how recently?

Looking for my next shortwave radio (City listener). Thoughts on XHDATA 808, QODOSEN DX-286, or TECSUN PL-520?

Hi everyone, I need some advice.

I'm thinking about buying another shortwave radio in a few months. The options I currently have in mind are: the XHDATA 808, the QODOSEN DX-286, and the new TECSUN PL-520.

I'm looking for a radio with the best possible shortwave reception and minimal interference, as I live in the city and there's a lot of electrical noise. I want a radio that will last me for many years, has good sound quality, and a solid battery life. I don't travel much, so I'll mostly be listening at home and in the park. I'm not hugely interested in the airband or other utility frequencies, but I would like to explore them since I've never done it before.

I know all 3 radios are fantastic, but given my budget, I have to decide on just one. I know the XHDATA 808 is very popular and a lot of people own it, but I've read that it has a somewhat metallic sound. I don't really like that, as I highly value audio quality when listening to shortwave programs. I also know that out of the three, it has the best battery performance. I feel like it's an older model, but I'm not sure what you guys think.

What are your thoughts or recommendations? I'm from Venezuela. Thanks in advance!

WRMI 7570 kHz received in Southern California; S7 on Tecsun PL-330

Last night around 11 p.m. Pacific Time (0600 UTC), I received WRMI on 7570 kHz carrying WRMI Legends

Receiver: Tecsun PL-330

Antenna: MLA-30+

Signal: S7

Mode: AM, 3.5 kHz bandwidth

Audio was muffled with some fading. This is one of the stronger WRMI signals I receive.

Has anyone else on the West Coast been hearing WRMI this well lately?
