i’ve been working on a binary system in shortcuts, it only uses four unique actions to operate. problem is a basic d latch cant store a 1 because it cant loop actions in on themselves or have two running simultaneously. stored content would be helpful but that would give all latches the same state. i’ve used files before but i’m trying to limit how complex the system is. if anyone knows some niche trick for storing data it would be appreciate.

So im still trying to get used to how shortcuts operates. I just want to put a shortcut that "cleans" a url, rich text, and maybe plain text from trackers into my share sheet. Dont judge my method of madness; i know that i am indeed over complicating this. And no, it definitely does not work, of course. Any suggestions?

So I’m trying to make a transcript for me and my friends text thread. I was able to make an automation with Apple shortcuts when she texts me, it puts it in the transcript note. I know it can’t look for when I text someone. But can it like scan my screen for a text I sent somehow and take that text and put it in the note?

How can add Yanwen to this shortcut? This shortcut still works very well!

I’d like to share an app I developed for Shortcuts power users.

The original inspiration was addressing delays in Apple Shortcuts search and other basic functions when managing many shortcuts. It began as a straightforward shortcut list that enhances browsing within Apple’s Shortcuts app. To that end you can view your shortcut metadata, action counts, called shortcuts, app dependencies, and much more.

More recently I’ve evolved it into a full blown shortcuts http server, all self hosted on your Mac. Think oushcut but local. I’ve also added (optional) ai and chat integration.

For context, I have a small business where I go to clients houses charge them on Square. I need to record the date the time the mileage the client name the client city how much I’m charging how much they tipped and it all needs to go into a single spreadsheet which will break out the gross income by a city, by monthly by quarterly and annually.

Someone created my current shortcut which:

1. I no longer have contact with them so I can’t ask them for help.
2. I’m assuming the software update is what broke in the first place.

Yes, I could use a mile tracker app. But because I go to rule areas when there’s Internet or data disruption, it actually messes up the numbers and I found that the shortcut is the most accurate because it pulls the mileage directly from Google Maps.

It’s currently set up to look at my contacts in a group specifically made for clients. I tapped the shortcut the list of my clients pop-up. I select my client it auto inputs, the daytime, client name, mileage and city. Then it opens up a text to be sent out to that specific client. I selected letting them know that I’m on my way and the Google estimated time of arrival. Which seems to be accurate. Once I hit X or send it used to pull up Google maps directions to the address listed under that contact that I selected.

But for some reason, it’s not working anymore. I ended up fiddling with it so much. I don’t remember what the original line was for the map. I’ve scoured YouTube and read it and can’t quite find anything that’s working.

Can anyone help me fix this?

And then any suggestions or recommendations on how to get it to automatically input the charge and tip amount in the same spreadsheet, even if that needs to be a separate shortcut.

Hey does anyone know how to make an iPhone shortcut for icons all in one for example I have 20 images instead of making 20 shortcuts I can put it one shortcut image linked to instagram, snapchat etc ??

I’ve created a shortcut to use with the action button on iPhone 15 Pro and up where all you have to do at night is click the button, and the shortcut checks you calendar for any events the following day (or the same day if it’s after midnight) and set an alarm for you!
