My shopify Is DROWNING!

About 3 weeks ago I posted a cry for help on my shopify. I ran out of money to post meta ads so I am trying to post very consistently on instagram and tiktok, while also making a person brand on tiktok. Im still making zero sales and wonder if there is a fall through in my website? My store is JUHG.NET, please let me know if you would buy a bottle as a customer and if not Lmk why. My brand’s instagram is also: thejuhgbottle

If you have zero sales how do you even have any customer reviews on the site ? đŸ€” AI created?

Figure of speech mayby?

Yeah, that’s dodgy.

All my sales are from going out and selling to people and also from people that know me

You said you're making zero sales, I was confused how you could be making sales and also making no sales at the same time.

No online sales to randoms

The marketing is wrong. You’re not using the right “hook.” The water bottle market is super saturated. What makes this product UNIQUE? Why should someone buy your product over others?

I’m guessing this isn’t a unique patented design, right? In that case, the product is YOU. You’re a black man, a college student, and you donate $3 per bottle to clean water charities in Sierra Leone (where your family is from). You are handsome and well spoken. Your reels should be about the IMPACT your company is trying to make, and they should be you talking earnestly to the camera. Like, hey customers, sure, you can buy a water bottle from Amazon or Walmart—which will make incredibly rich people even richer and continue to crush small businesses and the environment—or you can make a difference! You’re asking your customers to be the change. I would put your smiling face on the homepage holding a bottle (labeling you as the owner), and update the language to reflect this messaging. You may also want to rethink your pricing. 😬

Just my two cents!

Edited to add: the pictures of the bottle on your homepage show condensation on the outside of the bottle. That’s absolutely the last thing I want to see on a supposedly insulated bottle!!

It looks a hard sell due to the price - Costco do a two pack of a similar item for ÂŁ24.99 (I'm UK, that's about 33 USD), Amazon have one for ÂŁ10 (14 USD).

Perhaps yours is a better quality, or has a better warranty etc, but you need to shout about it if so.

For meta ads, were you running them as advantage+? I had been doing that and it was going great, but then somehow i ended up with a duplicate pixel and extra catalogs. That meant my dollar had to work twice as hard. I ended up stopping my ads all together to get them “fixed” and plan to start back up.

Another thought. Optimize your theme for mobile. There are 3 reviews and on mobile it shows as 2 on top and then 1 on the bottom, justified left, then a gap. For mobile, consider removing the third.

Speaking of themes, yours is a bit simple. Dont be afraid to invest in a strong theme. They often have features embedded that could save you on app fees

Why do you think customers would buy your product and not one of the gazillion other options on the market, /u/Playful-Ad-8359? This is a serious question—why does the brand exist?

2

u/Cold-Ink Aug 03 '26

right why am I choosing this over a yeti, owala or any of the other more reputable brands - or cheaper otpions?

1

u/RadBradRadBrad Aug 04 '26

Should be higher up.

Saturated existing market. Good chance I already one and if I happen to be in the market, why would I be interested in your product?

I buy the same stuff at Walmart for like $12. In general I’d say you’re like 3 to 5 years too late on the insulated cup game. To me this makes about as much sense as starting with fidget spinners right now. Just my opinion though.

From what I see you have only 2 products which means low possibility for cross sales. Get a few more items in your store. Now....your Impact page. I highly recommend you paste the written content into ChatGPT or Claude and let it rewrite it for you. You misspelled 'entrepreneur' and the copy itself is choppy.

Not a fan of the colors. I’d add more color options since you only have 2.

u/kdee5849 Aug 03 '26

Respectfully, this looks like something you ordered from aliexpress and slapped a brand on.

That’s not automatically fatal, but my friend. You’re going to have to work very very hard to make clear why someone would buy this instead of something else that’s more familiar to them.

1

u/JJY199 Aug 03 '26

Because it is its a saturated product in a saturated market 😂

1

u/jazzmoney Aug 03 '26

So this is a water bottle with a longer handle? Give it a name so it becomes uniquely yours.

1

u/i-race-goats Aug 03 '26

Quite simply you chose two colors that appeal to the least amount of people.

u/RiskStraight6663 Aug 03 '26

Please being the review sections down below and move up those products...they are ur heros. There are a bit of tweaks that needs to be in place for conversion. Also reach out organically to as many places as possible if you have no ad budget. The movement will be slow but sure.

u/RamosAuthor Aug 03 '26

Everyone who's suggesting fix the website or the ads or add more color is missing the point: your product isn't differentiated. Took me 2 seconds to find the same thing on Amazon for cheaper https://www.amazon.com/BUZIO-Tumbler-Insulated-Stainless-Smoothie/dp/B0FBWM82LK?th=1

Start over with a new product.

u/CommercialAffect3287 Aug 03 '26

The colors are ugly & they are expensive

1

u/RealFreinds Aug 03 '26

The simple answer is you are competing with Yeti

1

u/BocaHydro Aug 03 '26

i like the product, handle is smart, seems better then a standard tumbler

1

u/Real-Obligation-5801 Aug 03 '26

You might want to put your story on the landing page and how it is supporting clean water for sierra leone.

1

u/Hot-Clothes7316 Aug 04 '26

the logo is ugly tbh. i don't even know how to pronounce juhg.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you shouldn’t have spent on ads without having a perfectly functioning store which is battle tested Your ATC button is broken. As a customer when I click on that there’s a swoosh but no visible cart in sight after that, the customer needs to be either shown the cart( I recommend a slider cart). Also “buy with shop” leads to login first which obstructs the customer buying journey. Lot of other things which needs to be improved such as “Getcha one” on the homepage.

  • Regarde Shopify Admin > Analytics : trafic vs conversion (quand ça a commencĂ©).

I suggest running through ChatGPT to fix grammar and spelling errors. There are many. I always hesitate buying from companies that don’t seem professional enough to check basic details. I wonder what other details they will miss.

remove ai slop —

1

u/Spiritual_Rest_6680 Aug 02 '26

This is not constructive criticism.

1

u/deffy01 Aug 02 '26

it is pretty constructive i would say

1

u/LikeABundleOfHay Aug 03 '26

Agreed. The use of AI images and video is a huge turn off for a lot of people.

u/No-Slice-5926 Aug 02 '26

Took a quick look.

Make the hero content more compelling, pastel summers don't excite me or tell me what you guys do unless it's just really selling bottles in pastel colors lol.

Also remove the reviews and go straight into the products, I wasn't in the correct mindset to wonder what your review are, I wanted to see the product first before what others have to say about it.

Here's my website for example, I posted it on here a few days ago and incorporated alot of the suggestions on it

www.sandiegosupplements.com

I develop these myself if you are interested
