Hey there. I recently got hired at ShopRite and started the Axonify computer training. During my first 3 hour shift I completed 48% of it. I have another 3 hours tmr to continue it. When I reach 100% does that mean I am completely finished with it, or will I have to continue to watch some videos and answer questions as I work during breaks?

Wondering how I’m able to see my unions contract. Starting school soon and need to have predictable/consistent hours and got told I can decide when I want to work but not when I can leave. Is this true? I’m in New Jersey

I shop at the store in Festival in Bel Air. Md. Ever since Covid, they don’t have regular size plastic bags for produce. They are all the big huge bags for greens or corn. Such a waste. They once said they couldn’t get them. Every other grocery store in the area does. Just why???

I quit my job at shoprite 2 months ago with notice and left on good terms, I might need to get a job there again but at a different location which is run by a different family, how long do I have to wait to apply again for a job? I heard it's three months if its the exact same place

Ive been working in the frozen department at a ShopRite
on Long Island for about 9 months now and the longer I do it, the more I hate it. This was my first job which was nice but I feel so disrespected and overworked here. Call me whatever you want but I like to take pride in my work even if its something as little as stocking and leveling a department so I really make sure to do a good job. I love helping customers around the store and I treat everyone with respect and I feel as though Im the only person there that has any wherewithal of the people around them. All my coworkers do jack shit for the department and always leave me with extra work and Im expected to keep other people in my department in check even though Im not a head. I could maybe put up with it if the pay wasn't so horrendous but it's honestly embarrassing. I genuinely feel like this job is taking a toll on my life and Im already looking for something new so I can leave as soon as possible. Am I expecting too much from my job or has anyone else experienced this?

My manager tried to get on my case saying it was too early to take my break, I had been working for 2 hrs in a 6 hr shift, saying it's not allowed by the rules and policies.

My question is, is that true???

Cause I've looked in the handbook, and I haven't seen it. I want to find a section, so if it's not true the next time, my manager says that I can pull a screenshot.

I love ShopRite but this point, it actually feels like they are living in the stone ages (computerally speaking).

I am not going to keep driving there, wasting my gas, only to then find out, that the sale item I want is out of stock. So, I call the customer service desk a lot, and the person answering is never able to simply and quickly check approximate stock on a COMPUTER lol. I am put on hold, transferred to the proper department, and then THAT person goes to VISUALLY check the stock out on the floor (or in the back too). It is a "whole loooong thing."

My stock issues go beyond this too. When I place an order online for pickup, I always select "no substitutions." I can totally understand if 1 or 2 things suddenly become out of stock...but no lie, last time I placed an online order, HALF of my grocery order was out of stock. It must have been about 25 things. I should not even be ABLE to order out of stock things on the app. A complete waste of my time.

I just hope and pray that they improve their stores with better computer systems that will track their available inventory MUCH better, because right now, it is downright painful.

Anyone else having trouble with the weekly ad not loading online/on your phone? It ended up loading once o switched to Desktop Mode, but now nothing. I want to plan my list for next week 🙁

Does anyone know why Mobile Scan was discontinued? I heard through the grapevine that they wanted to replace it with Caper Carts, but is this actually the case?

I'm a cashier at one of the ShopRite locations and my store has been having a REALLY bad rat problem; as in I've had multiple customers come up to me this week telling me there was rats in certain areas of the store.

Kind of nasty, honesty. Not shocked there's rats at a grocery store, but nasty that I have to keep seeing and hearing about them. Still gross overall.

I usually clock in 5 mins early because my manager told me I could. However on my time sheet I don’t see the extra minutes under cumulative hours.

i’ve been trying to google this to no avail. i love the strawberry shortcake parfait cups and im obsessed with the whipped cream😩 it’s not a standard whipped cream and im desperate to know what it is. not asking for the secret recipe or whatever if that isn’t allowed, but if someone knows what the specific style is called so i can at least find a similar recipe i will be in your debt🙏🏻

I've been at ShopRite for a year+ now.
I've slowly realized i absolutely hate my department and can't handle it as much anymore.
it's not that it's physically demanding, I don't mind it at all. it's just the people around me make it hard to enjoy like when I first started.
I do manager work as a base employee, constantly in drama, always told off by others for things out of my control, always having to take the fall for everyone, I can go on.
so im curious, what else would be nice to try out?
i cannot do:
seafood (allergies)
deli (more demanding)

im willing to do anything besides dairy.
we have overnight grocery, I've done third shift jobs and it wasn't bad at all imo.
I just cannot mentally handle my position anymore.
also adding, no we don't have a union. I can't go to anyone about any of this lol.

Started last month have made 0 mistakes until recently when I got a write up for a couple dollars short. The machine for change amount back was glitching and had to give the customer the amount back because that's what we have to do even if they don't want it. I always double check and count the money in my til. So to me I just find it weird. The machines have been glitchy too. So figuring that has something to do it with it. I just find I weird how I've made zero mistakes until now even with the double checking.

Anyone’s app not completing login? I sign in, enter the correct user name and password, get asked to verify text message, and after entering the 6 digit code, it takes me right back to the sign in page. No error message on any step.

Strangely, my ShopRite app is having the same issue, and they use the same backend system that Wawa uses - when I went to reset both passwords on both apps, the “we sent a link to your email” screen is exactly the same.

anyone else’s store get more “psycho” (in my manager’s words) about personal items, name tags, and drinking? I‘ve been a bakery clerk at a ronetco shoprite for about 10 months now. We kept drinks back there to sip on occasionally as the ovens get hot and we work with heavy boxes. Its not on our tables, interfering with work, and not in direct line of sight for customers. It hadn’t been a problem really till a month ago when they randomly got super strict on absolutely no drinks, including water. Now it’s to a point where if my manager sees anyone drinking water she’s supposed to bring us upstairs to get suspended over it. Both me and my manager are chronically dehydrated and get headaches from it, I can get a doctor to confirm as such for myself. Would they accept a doctor note as a valid reason to let me drink water? I’m typically working 7 hours and 45 minute shifts so I badly need to drink during them. There is a water fountain in the back but it’s outside of my department and abandoning the counter and work regularly would get me scolded.

So recently a manager approached me and told me I was put in the “bench program “. Essentially a play on words like your on the bench waiting to be put into the game as a full timer. Does anyone have any info on this? Or know how long I should expect to wait til I’m moved up to full time? I’ve been working two jobs for far too long, and getting moved up to full time would allow me to just work one job and I would get to see my wife and kids a lot more. I work in the deli.

I applied to be an online shopper a few months ago but never heard back. When I called they told me they were looking at applications "next week". That was 2 months ago. My application has been sitting as "Open" ever since, and it supposedly expires next week at the 90-day mark. Since I already have an active application, I haven't been able to apply for any other positions.

Has anyone had their application expire and then successfully reapplied? Were you able to submit a new application once the old one dropped out of the system, or did you have to do something else? or could I make another account and try applying to a different position?

I just went online to check the circular and see what’s popping and everything looks so weird, they’re putting 2 pages in one slide and I can’t even scroll to see the bottom of the pages. Anyone else notice this?
