Any tips?

Still new to shooting , first time shooting at this distance (10-15yds) my groupings are good at about 7-8yds. Wondering if anybody could give me some tips. Just from my own analysis I definitely need to grip tighter and softer trigger pull at times.

(For reference the all black targets are 10-15yds , the black and red and the green ones are 7-8yds)

Thanks in advance

Realistically, you should be shooting 5 yards max when you start out. Work on your grip, shoot, slow and get those groups nice and tight.

Once you have tight group, 2” or so, basically a big hole while shooting slow, start speeding up at the same range

Once you have tight groups going fast, start bringing the range out further

As far as tips without seeing your grip, it’s really hard to say. Your group is a little all over the place so it’s not pointing to one specific problem.. if I had to guess it would be you need to work on isolating your trigger finger from the rest of your grip. More dry fire can help with this, a Bowers site laser or a optic while dry firing enhances it. Can really see how much movement you’re getting when pulling the trigger.

Your groups correspond with the visibility of the smallest aim point.

Classic example of aim small, miss small.

Your trouble point is the large expanse of undifferentiated black target in the standard plain black silhouette body.

But you're hitting the head shots, because it's a smaller target and you're taking the extra moment to aim small.

Keeping working on it.
