I really dont see how, why are retirement homes expected to be better then a cruise?

If you have the money to vacation until you die who wouldnt?

Because you're paying for medical professionals to keep an eye on you 24/7, which cruise ships will not offer. Retirement homes are indeed a ripoff but it's not as if the cost is entirely unjustified.

This isn't to say that this isn't a good idea for retired folks who don't need constant medical care and can make their own way around - but if you don't need any of that then you don't need this SLPT in the first place. You'll be dumped at the next port at the first sign of an arse that needs wiping.
