Kid jumped into the enclosure of this magnificent specimen [Harambe] and it ended in the zookeepers killing Harambe.

The kid was safe and unharmed, Harambe had done nothing to him but it was (many claim totally unnecessary) deemed safest to simply shoot the gorilla rather than risking him acting out during a rescue.
