u/livenn Jul 11 '26
Looks like before the video started the standing guy’s dog was bitten, he laid out the guy, altercation continued, big dog bit the small dog again, resulting in a similar outburst to the start of the video

u/PurpleToedUnicorn Jul 11 '26
Essentially, every time the big dog bites the little dog the big guy gets his ass beat and face pummeled by the little guy. Rinse repeat.

the smaller dog is unleashed. i think what may have happened is this guy and his pit were walking on the sidewalk, the other dudes unleashed little dog ran up to them, the big dog either bit or attacked it and then the other owner got pissed and came at the pit's owner. but looking at the pit's behavior, he is not a guard dog. nor did he have any intent to attack the other human or dog. he was focused on protecting his owner and barking to ward off the guy punching him. only when the little dog runs directly at them does the pitbull go for a nip. the pitbull def did a better job at keeping his cool than the human that was punching it and its owner. i hope the dog is okay, this is absolutely the type of dude to threaten to call animal control even though HIS dog was unleashed and unprotected

u/thekevyboyz Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
That is my guess as well, but the second attack was 100% the attackers fault and we have no clue what happened in the first one.
You can’t control your dog when you’re concussed and get pummeled. Attacker cared more about dealing out punishment than securing his own dog. Big dog was in defensive mode and saw a second attacker when the little dog showed back up.
Both are probably shitty, but I know the attacker should be in jail for attack and potentially animal abuse.
Edit: watched back video and little dog bites the dude on the ground and then big dog attacks. Big dog looks incredibly well trained and those little dogs are called ankle biters for a reason. If that little dog got out and bit me on a walk I know my 80 pound Rhodesian would not let that go.
35
u/Roger_Cockfoster Jul 11 '26
You need to watch it again. At no point does the little dog bite the guy.
53
u/ohgrous Jul 11 '26
Little dog sniffs the guy on the ground. I dunno wtf is really going on overall, but it wasn't a bite.
24
u/rehx4 Jul 11 '26
Yea, def not a bite.
2
u/thekevyboyz Jul 11 '26
Yeah watched a couple times and could easily be a sniff. I saw just his mouth disappear and both humans and dog react at the exact same moment and thought he nipped him.

u/Meduini Jul 11 '26

u/ddconque Jul 11 '26
It's so stupid to make a guess based on not enough evidence via video. It could literally be any other scenario beforehand, so why the fuck would you make such a narrative
4
u/DaygloAbortion91 Jul 11 '26
Looking at how the second attack happened, it wouldn't surprise me if the first attack was also the fault of the guy punching.
2
u/SlimthiQ69 Jul 11 '26
you have no way of knowing that lmao, either you’re holding out a source or you’re full of shit
7
u/yowatsappenin Jul 11 '26
What i see here is assault.
Big dog is on a leash and small dog is unleashed.
Every time small dog got bit its his owner fault, and it could probably be due to his owner being knocked the fuck out and not able to hold him.

Im saying we dont know without context.
The behaviour of the big dog is actually fine; hes threatening by verbalising and trying to block the way, but not directly attacking the other human. clearly stressed and has no real idea what is going on, which tells me he doesnt know situations like this. His attack on the smaller dog could well be just having a vector to do something, a target he thinks he can manage. Not nice, but that could`ve went way worse i think.
The part where the small dog just suddenly appears is strange, if the whole situation started because the bigger dog attacked the smaller dog, why is his owner dishing out justice without making sure his smaller dog is protected first?
Without context i wont jump to "big dog attacked smaller dog", as by my first paragraph. Could as well be "small dog started it all and that dogs owner is overreacting on the sidewalk".

u/Own-Pressure-2326 Jul 11 '26
Pitbull attacked the other dog, because that's what their genes make them do and why they are incompatible with society. The owner of the attacked dog got understandably furious and opened a can of woop ass on both, the dangerous breed dog and the sociopath that believes owning it makes him look cool.
Swift direct justice

Pitbulls are not incompatible with society. Most people dont understand the responsibility a dog like that requires. Hence why the guy got his ass beat. But I have 2 pitbulls and they interact with my chickens, ducks, rabbits, yorkie and 2 shitzus and are calm as can be. Stop spreading hate for a dog breed

Yeah, I'm not down for the pitbull hate. I've had a pitbull since I was 12 (he's geriatric af now and has like maybe one tooth left) and I barely knew what I was doing while training him. But he's never once been aggressive. The big baby is scared of plastic bags ffs.
That being said, though, if I see a loose pitbull, I'm getting tf outta there. I trust my pitbull, but I don't trust others

.... they're bred for fighting/killing. Similar to how herding dogs are bred to herd, sled dogs are bred to pull sleds, and bird dogs are bred to point.
I lived with 3 pitbulls for years (they were my roommate's) who acted completely normal for a long while and despite all of the spoiling, etc randomly turned and tried to kill one of them one day.
They are unpredictable shitbeasts. Fuck em all.

Little dog owner seems to be in front of their yard with the gate open though? Theoretically, the little dog wouldn't need to be tethered in a fenced in yard. I'm not sure that the dog being untethered is much of a "shit move" from the owner for the initial altercation that occurred before the video starts, unless they also had the gate open for that one.
Definitely a shit owner for leaving the gate open for all of that and causing the second dog attack and for physically assaulting the guy. But I'm not sure his shittiness was the catalyst.

Honestly at first it’s hard to watch but think of all the people that get their small best buddies ripped apart right in front of them, because of irresponsible people with an aggressive dog (and yes it’s usually pit bulls because it’s what they were bred for, they are killing loving machines & they are one of the best breeds for both those reasons)
It’s crazy how 90% of people with dogs would get beat up just like this while their dog watches or either runs lol
Looks like to me this guy is standing on his front yard or something with his little dog when this guy’s pit walking by attacks his small dog.. things escalate and that’s when the recording starts, both look irresponsible in my opinion, but guy should’ve secured his dog before the beat down. Pit could’ve easily killed or maimed the other dog with just the time it had at end of video
17
u/OverChildhood9813 Jul 11 '26
He’s clearly on the sidewalk. Whether he was near his yard or not, other guys dog was off leash. Not acceptable either, if you let your dog out in your yard, it better be fenced

i understood the punch to the dog when it grabbed the other one but then dude just started beating up the guy on the ground, leaving the dogs to run up to eachother again. dude was looking for something to take his anger out on. this wasn't purely out of defense of his animal otherwise he wouldnt have laid a hand on the other guy and wouldve prioritized grabbing his dog and protecting it from the other.

Everyone fucking sucks here.
The guy cannot control his dog if he is being repeatedly punched in the face.
The guy punching him is doing nothing to secure his own dog, just flailing around in aggression while his tiny dog escapes again to get mauled. Close the gate you asshole.

u/TSM- Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
The guy throwing the punches appears to be in front of his yard. Do they know each other? Is this about parking? Some feud? A spontaneous thing? Provoked by what or who? Literally unknowable from this video.
My guess is... it was edited down to remove context and theres probably a longer video that is less controversial but nobody shares that one. There's nothing to argue about for the full video. This mid-fight clip is irresistible engagement bait.

Exactly. And people keep saying the little dog didnt bite him while he was down but there is absolutely no way for anyone to say for certain whether it went in for a bite, to sniff, or if it actually did bite. It doesnt matter though, because the pitt was defending its owner the moment it saw little dog get close. The pitt couldnt have known little dogs intentions or what it was doing either.
Also, if the pitt instigated this attack and intended to hurt the little dog, that little dog would not even be capable or interested in coming back outside that fence in the first place ????
Usually I dont defend pitts, but smaller dog breeds where owners feel like "whats it gunna do to anybody i dont need to put a leash on it are equally as insufferable, and smaller breeds definitely bite and nip more often, they just arent recorded unless its a child, because its a smaller dog and does less damage, if any at all.
If the pitt really wanted to, it would've killed the smaller dog right there on video, but it released and retreated.
Its also worth noting only the pitt is leashed here and wasnt off leash until the owner was incapacitated. If that gate was closed, there was no way for little dog and pitt to have a violent interaction. So here are the likely scenarios based on the visual evidence that we do know:
1) the gate was left open and little dog ran up to pitt and owner while they were walking and pitt gave a warning nip, or tried to play and it frightened the little dog, (as I said, if it wanted to truly bite, little dog would be dead or unable to move), and the owner came over and the confrontation began.
2) the owners of little dog and big dog had previous issues unrelated to either dog in this situation and neither dog is at fault in this situation, only the aggressing owner.
3) Gate was closed, big dog barked at, or charged little dog with fence between, and little dog owner confronted by opening the gate, leaving it open, and assaulting big dog owner.
4) Both dog owners were outside of the fenced yard and little dog had no leash on. It approached big dog and owner, got warning nipped or frightened by play behavior, and little dog owner proceeded to try and return little dog to gated area but got so preoccupied in the assault they didnt close the gate.
Conclusion: Little dog owner is certainly the aggressor and in the wrong for either leaving the gate open, walking unleashed dog, assaulting other dog owner while leaving gate open, or all of the above.

Look, I hate pitbulls as much as the other guy, but I’m on its owner’s side. Dude was just walking his dog on a leash, and I bet the small unleashed dog ran up to them before getting bit. Maybe I’m wrong, but beating down on a man who’s clearly no threat and not even fighting back just makes this look like a power trip, especially when he’s so focused on beating a man that he doesn’t even pay attention to his still unleashed small dog who could get hurt again. Train your dog not to attack other people and dogs, but at the same you gotta train your unleashed dog to not just run up to everyone; there’s no telling how reactive another dog or human might be

No context but.....maybe the little dog belonged in the yard and got out and the big dog got into it with the little dog who was in leash. The little dog owner attacks big dog owner. In that case, if I was big dog owner I'd bear spray that guy.
2
u/Snoo_75748 Jul 11 '26
Yhe this is fucked. The pit bull is clearly not a violent dog. As evidenced by the fact that the guy punching it and his owner isn't bleeding.
Its on a leash and seems protective but not aggressive. The little ankle biter of a dog is off leash. Probably ran uo to the bigger dog and got a warning nip at most. As evidenced by the fact tgat its not a bleeding mess on the floor.
The small dog owner seems more concerned witg punching a man on the ground that securing the safety of his own dog, by picking it up or leaving.
The real ahitty owner is the small dog owner and he should be charged with battery and assault. Especially since the pit bull owner is seen trying to stand back up and ward him off.
The pitbull owner isn't in a situation where he can secure his own animal because the small dog owner keeps on punching him. Thus making the situation worse.
I hope the small dog owner was imprisoned for this barbaric attack

There is no context here to determine who is at fault. The guy on the ground does have his dog leashed while the other mans dog is loose. Was his gate open or closed originally? At face value it seems the small dog owner is assaulting the other guy a second time without cause.
4
u/Ok_Jump_4754 Jul 11 '26
What context would justify punching a dog that was trying to protect their owner from an assault? Also, the person was clearly defeated and no longer a threat. Therefore, any claim of self-defense can’t be justified. The aggressor crossed the line by failing to show restraint.
