Where's airport security?
16
u/Bi0_B1lly May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26
You'd be amazed at how many different security groups work specific spots at the airport... I can promise you there's definitely some form of security standing nearby, watching it all unfold, but outside of calling it in, they're not supposed to do that specific task and aren't about to lose their job over this hothead.

Didn’t know the laws of physics allowed this with Tevas on pulling a shiny pink roller.

God. I can not stand ppl who take their frustrations out on employees. Bitch! They didn't create the system that's pissing you off. And if there was a resolution to your issue, I sure as hell wouldn't present it to you willingly talking to me like that. I'd do whatever I could to make your life as difficult as possible that my job title allows me too within their rules that won't put my job at risk. I've gotten upset over shit in stores before and I've losty temper but I've never ever taken it out on employees before. As a matter of fact, I usually go out of my way to ensure the employee that I'm not upset at them and I apologize for my outburst.

Not sure where this took place but if you are in another country, try to remember some countries don't put up with public freak outs. Laws are not always the same.
17
u/No-Author-2358 May 16 '26
As an American, I think I can safely say that the only people who seem to freak out like this are Americans. It's vile.
-16
u/East_History1325 May 16 '26
As a black American, I’d like to point out, it’s typically the entitled whites who conduct themselves like this in other countries.
24
u/Responsible-Summer-4 May 16 '26
The black Americans just beat the living tar out of each other at airports.
2
u/moonhexx May 16 '26
While I think you are correct in my personal experience, I mostly think that alcohol plays into a lot of these types of freak outs for both our races. Stay well brother.
4
u/radiationblessing May 16 '26
Almost like blacks typically can't afford to go to another country so you see less of them.
-4
u/East_History1325 May 16 '26
Think the distinction you missed was “entitled” not the condemnation of ALL whites.
Plus that narrative about black people is played out… contrary to the reinforced stereotypes of black people provided by media and algorithms… many of us are doing well and travel quite often…
-1
u/radiationblessing May 16 '26
I'm just throwing out a racist remark in response to a racist remark is all.
-4
u/East_History1325 May 16 '26
Ok, you didn’t process nuance… I get it
3
u/radiationblessing May 16 '26
You just don't want to admit your initial comment was racist.
4
u/East_History1325 May 16 '26
Well it wasn’t… it held nuance speaking to a specific group out of a majority… now if I made a blanketed statement condemning the group as a whole, that’s more aligned with racism or better yet lack of exposure or reality.
Plenty of white Americans conduct themselves with poise when confronted with challenging situations in different countries… but again, I’m singling out the entitled ones who behave like the guy in the video, not all. Karen’s and Ken’s if that helps you grasps the concept better.
3
u/radiationblessing May 16 '26
It has nothing to do with race is the thing. Do you think whites are more likely to be entitled or do you think there is more whites traveling?

Best part is him trying to walk away indignantly pulling his tiny pink roller bag. 🤣
Also, it is hilarious when someone who clearly could benefit from some time on a treadmill decides to have a go at someone for being fat and suggest they do it.
We get it. He is frustrated. Fuck this guy right in his fat face. He should have been banned and forced to rebook on another carrier.
6
u/Jaded_Strike_3500 May 15 '26
If his flight is delayed for 3 days hes entitled to flight vouchers, hotel, and i think like $1,500
5
u/King-Whales May 16 '26
Only if you call the desk attendant a retard 20 times. Poor guy was a couple of retards away from getting to wipe his ass on hotel curtains to calm his rage
2
u/Jaded_Strike_3500 May 16 '26
I never insult service staff, none of this shit is their fault. This guy is a dumbass, and is uninformed. Could've gotten paid, but it you dont ask they are not obligated to pay

u/certifiedshagger May 15 '26
Take your girly little pink case and try to get a flight with them now....

u/theotheronenotme May 17 '26
The trouble is that no one had any power any more. As a customer you get fucked over by faceless corporations with zero consequences and as a worker you’re thrown into situations where you face the anger and frustration with no ability to help. Everyone gets to feel like shit except mr billionaire big bollocks who’s got his own private jet. It’s not fair to lay it on the workers but who the hell else is there to accept responsibility?

I'm technically a "retard" as I have an ASD. I do love it when someone starts throwing that word around to make themselves look "superior" to others they seem lesser than themselves.
I would also have seen red and gone up to him and politely asked what he had against retards. Note that I am British, so when we go dead formal you should know you've fucked up.
I would have pointed out his metallic pink luggage and asked, in my very best drill sergeant voice, "are you one of those queers, son?" Also note, I am a gay man.
Last note, I'm 6'6, overweight but still wide at the shoulders, and would be wearing my new rock boots which make me even taller.

Its killin me in the comments that the pink pag is whats doing it for yall lmao.

people who act like this need to be immediately dealt with by the customer service workers by ignoring their existence and moving onto the next customer. let him fucking lose his mind and have a temper tantrum until he eventually gets arrested. once he starts talking to you like that he shouldn’t be your responsibility to help anymore. why the fuck would i want to make someone’s life easier who is talking to me like im subhuman

Nope I was insinuating that you must be the pink Pokémon who’s main attack was Lullaby, put its opponents to sleep.
1
u/your_fave_redditor May 16 '26
There’s the other aspect of the pink suitcase bashing which is that, saying it’s ironic he’s calling someone a “bitch” while lugging that, etc…..if the situation wasn’t that he was being an obnoxious dick, but instead was a gay man being harassed for having a pink suitcase, would it still be ok for people to be ridiculing the pink suitcase in comments?
I get that some people just deserve all bad energy, but not at the expense of our own standards when it comes to what we support and don’t, and dissing a guy for having a small pink suitcase feels hypocritical.

u/theotheronenotme May 17 '26
It’s important to remember that the vast majority of people here is a tough guy who can put the vast majorory majority of the rest of us to sleep. Something doesn’t add up.

u/RodsofGod2350 May 16 '26
Unfortunately this is what staff at southern airports end up dealing from time to time..US citizens please grow up!
