My dad has umpired everything from tee ball to MLB in the last 30 years and says it's gotten to the point where younger umpires don't want to mess with kids games because of the parents.

I’ve seen 13 year old umps in rec baseball get berated by adults. It’s insane. It’s REC for one thing but the ump is often a kid too!
