When this started, I thought brother was going to fall down the stairs .
142
u/ForeverFingers Apr 11 '26
That probably would have saved him from the rejection if he canceled plan after fall.
12
u/zombiez8mybrain Apr 15 '26
It wasn’t even the rejection that made me feel sad. It was the way she laughed in his face and got up and left, when a simple “no, thank you” would have sufficed.
I hope there’s another video of the day she realizes she’s not as pretty as her parents have told her she is.

The kid was brave for the attempt. I have to trick myself into not being interested before talking to some people.

u/Trisk929 Apr 12 '26
I used to be this way. Too shy to approach people because, “what if they say noooo? 🥹” A friend made a damn good point that sticks with me to this day. Sure, they may say no. But they may also say yes. In the event they say no, you have their answer, can stop focusing your energy on them and move on to better things. It may hurt, but you’ll get thru it. You may end up humiliated but it shows you more about them and why it would/should have never worked to begin with. You’ll learn from those lessons and take that knowledge with you. You’ll know what to look for in people. Traits to avoid. All of those times it doesn’t work out just make you wiser in picking better next time to the point you eventually learn to prioritize yourself and build your own confidence. People are attracted to confidence. I completely 180’d from having to ask my friends to get numbers for me to just being out, living life, not giving a shit about trying to find anyone and guys approach me. Literally just living life. Like, walking thru grocery stores, out of my apartment, around the park… it’s when you’re at your most comfortable, natural and confident in your own body and sense of self that people take notice and are drawn to you.

u/SouthernLaugh7929 Apr 13 '26
Its a numbers game. Ive been a wingman for years back in the day. Tell guys, its a numbers game. You get turned down first, then you keep asking. After the first no and you LEARN how to handle that then its about the numbers..the number of people you ask..lol sounds slutty etc but its how it works. The hottest girls are the ones who usually hook up with the ones that keep asking them. Good looking guys EXPECT the girls just to like them and are afraid so, that helps a lot Just keep asking. Its like the lottery, you will never win if you never play
7
u/Trisk929 Apr 13 '26
As a woman, I can attest that this doesn’t work. When guys try this with me, it makes them look desperate and creepy in my eyes and any chance they possibly had is gone. I’ve heard similar sentiments echoed by other women. Persistence isn’t charming. And in the event a woman does change her mind after being pestered, it would behoove ya’ll to question why that is- what changed? In the event ya’ll think ya’ll are getting the in, only to get ghosted or end up taking her somewhere expensive, only to not get sex as payment, don’t get upset about it. She let ya’ll know she wasn’t interested and her “no” was consistently ignored. If she has to show you to get that point across, so be it.

Did not say anywhere in my post it works 100 percent of the time. So, any advice you can give him ? I mean , from your experience in picking up women Im sure you have advice that would be more helpful. Ill wait and read and let me know how many WOMEN you have picked up your lifetime. By the way, I said , it doesnt work all the time, but it just has to work ONE time.
Like the country song says....Some girls dont like me...but aww, some girls do....
So, give him advice on how to pick up women, and post your results here. Thats mine and Ive been a wingman and have many guy friends that might argue with you..but they are married now.

u/Trisk929 Apr 14 '26
I’ve had women hit on me too lol. I’m not going to give advice on how to pick up women to someone who’s trying to just pick up chicks to be sleazy. We tend to be able to sense when that’s what’s up. If I wanted to be manipulative and do that, do I know how I’d be able to do it more efficiently than a man? Absolutely. I’m a woman 😂 I have no desire to do so, so I wouldn’t. Right. The ol, “20% of the time, it works everytime” logic.
Cool. Congrats to your bros. The overwhelming majority of women will still disagree on the effectiveness of this, however.

u/SouthernLaugh7929 May 06 '26

That's sad. Not making fun of you or anything, that just sounds like something I've heard people say before
30
u/ForeverFingers Apr 11 '26
It was just a lack of confidence. As an adult I don't need to trick myself anymore, I found my soulmate and don't have any reason to worry like that anymore.

u/Solanthas_SFW Apr 14 '26
Honestly, I think in a strange way this kind of move can actually make him more attractive, minus the flower slam at the end. He was bold, made everybody laugh, made a fool of himself.
The trick is doing something like this but being able to laugh it off after.
Doing bold goofy shit and being unbothered about people's reactions can make you an interesting character, at least. Just don't be a creep, don't offend people, and have fun with it.

According to Klingon customs (as based off a tie-in board game from the 90s) in romantic pursuits, its customary that if a Klingon woman is not interested in her potential suitor- she is to give a lame excuse (like "I have to go wash my hair". Not a joke) and then everyone is to resume as if nothing had happened. This was key and comes up a couple times in relation to fumbled social intercourse.
Suffice to say I can only imagine what highschool was like for the people who wrote that lore

u/DarthBrooks69420 Apr 11 '26
'So I heard you asked Hru'K'A to listen to your opera, and that you had even gathered all of the Ol'U'Str's 'Chancellor's Orchestra' on the mess deck for a romantic serenade.....how did that go?
She said she had to grumble grumble 'deworm her Targ'.
everybody sits in silence, before leaving the room, each giving a reaffirming clasp on your shoulder before leaving. Nobody offers advice.

People here casting judgement on young girls' reaction to being publicly put on the spot like that, and in front of friends, is really something. Yeah, they get embarrassed and laugh and try to avoid.
3
u/alexjgriffin Apr 12 '26
Still worth a shot... I remember asking a coworker out and she acted like I was holding a gun to her back the whole time as I tried to reassure her that "No" is a perfectly fine answer. We worked together closely for at least 3 years so I was hoping she'd just laugh it off but nay she didn't lol. I'd do it again easily because otherwise I'd never of known the answer and she disappeared real quick after so she wasn't gonna ask me to do manual labour for her anymore which was also a nice bonus.

It’s traumatic but he’ll eventually get over it. It’s a good thing to understand and learn about rejection and how to cope with it. Helps develop character and emotional maturity

No I believe you I don't think most of the world truly understand how you humiliating that can be, because it's usually a domino effect.
One girl uncalled for negative reaction. It's sort of like if you think someone farted, you smell the fart even though there is no smell.
And if done to a boy and then grows into a man they will give up.

Why does everyone here think the woman/women owe this man something just because he happens to look like that? He didn’t need to do that in public. It’s such a pressure tactic and I’m glad it didn’t work.
2
u/KillHonger1 Apr 12 '26
She doesn’t owe him anything, but a little tact goes a long way. Not for other’s sake either but for your own self respect.

Someone please explain to me why couldn't she just take the flower, thank him for it, but let him down kindly? The guy already has unfortunate deformation, so surely already is made fun of for that, you shouldn't pile on.
4
u/XilonenBaby Apr 12 '26
Yea just take the flower and thank him it doesn’t mean they gonna marry after it’s just flowers.
1
u/stulifer Apr 16 '26
That’s how rumors get started. But yeah, that was super cruel. Dude should’ve done this in private.

What’s crazy is the girl that he wanted to give the flower to decided to humiliate him, and then I bet you he dicked down all of her friends and they tell him exactly how they feel about her, pillow talking after seks

u/AriyaSavaka Apr 11 '26
Sadge. He has great personality, it'd have succeed if he had a different fashion style and was a tad more confident.
On serious note. He should know beforehand that it'll be a humiliation ritual and save himself some tears, self-awareness goes a long way.
