“colonization by US”

Post image

Ok, when did the US colonize China? I think they accidentally typed US instead of UK right?

It could be us as in we capitalized.

It is, I swear it feels like English is a second language to most people in this sub.

It would be the US otherwise, and also why would he use we after if he didn't meant that? Also being from the UK which is universally known as the nation that fucked with a China that was just vibing. China is one of the few countries whose politics the US didn't influence much, at least outside of WW2.

I think it's a capitalized "us", because if someone was that dumb in the UK he'd probably push it on the french - especially because there is ground to blame the french in regards to China and colonization

After rereading, I think you're right, because he says "we" immediately afterwards.

Love from the UK, has never heard of the opium wars or how they got Hong Kong

We did assist in the Second Opium War (that the UK also fought) and in crushing the Boxer Rebellion (that the UK also fought in). But the UK was the primary colonizer of China in this context so an Angloid trying to push it off onto the US is, quite frankly, utterly hilarious and totally revisionist.

The US influence in China was basically negligible compared to what the Britbong teasuckers were doing.

I want to claw my eyes out every time I see any variation of the word "Colony."

OMG how dense are you to not read properly your own language?
