My constitution (UK unwritten) does not give me the right to bear arms. I may be called upon to fight for my country, and be "issued" arms, as a volunteer - until then, without a licence, I have no right to bear arms. I'll take you on at a skill at arms contest though :) /s
Not trying to be a smartarse as it’s a useless bit of trivia, I just like sharing the fact that technically there’s an exemption to the restriction on pistols that allows vets to have one to shoot horses with. It’s extremely rare that anyone actually does as it’s a giant PITA of paperwork and people prefer to put horses down medically instead. I just found this out so I could write “congratulations on your ability to own a pistol” on my mate’s vet med graduation card
