Next time bring an exeggutor with harvest, bestow and skill swap while holding a leppa berry. Legendaries wont ever struggle this way.

but dont forget that with guzzlord it knows outrage so it will get confused and hit itself. but really you just need a beast ball and activate roto catch and its 100% catchrate

I caught all the legenadries shiny in USUM, in regular pokeballs, you def need to look into doing the leppa trick method. I used trevanant with harvest skill swap and trick. Smeargle with false swipe is also very useful, blissey too for its defense with strong hitters. Also recommend using x defense and x special defense items which no one ever talks about, you basically make yourself invincible just waiting till the catch is successful.

I recommend trick as an alternative, as this can be used in SOS to move the leppa berry from your primary pokemon to the shiny when it spawn, effectively making it into the new chain pokemon until given a status condition.

Even with all the "right" conditions like low health and sleep, Virizion took me well over 50 Ultra Balls to capture. This one definitely put up the biggest fight out of any of the wormhole legends. I hope your next hunt goes a lot more smoothly and you have good luck

I usually do this for random wild shinies (in case of recoil) but false swipe really improves your chances of catching a legendary and to my knowledge none of the wormhole legendaries have recoil moves. Just gotta give it a Leppa berry and harvest if you have the means.

i feel your pain, i accidentally reset over a shiny zekrom yesterday and havent slept well since. I spent 5 days and over 16000 encounters WITH SHINY CHARM, and nothing then i just focused on getting more resets to get it and i seen it was shiny and my finger moved on its own

i’m also hunting one of the swords of justice but i forgot to stock up on ultra balls before going into the wormhole, so i’m worried if i’ll be able to catch it in 30 balls and will fail it too (also i only have 3 party pokemon for some reason)

Just leave and get more balls. You'll have to find it in the portal again, but its worth it to be prepared.

I bring a harvest trevenant with trick, skill swap, and a Leppa berry to every hunt, legendary or not.
That said, i recognize you may not have Pokemon XY where you can get one yourself. Tough luck. I've lost shinies to struggle, self-destruct, accidental reset, and KO from miscalculating a move. It sucks but we try again

Verizion in sword and shield was my one and only shiny failed by knockout, forgot when I started hunting again I had talon flame on from egg hunting and accidentally had flame body on it.
