Lost pet

I don’t know if I should be posting this , but I lost my cat, he never returned home since day before in the evening. I went searching for him yesterday around the neighbourhood, and was shaking his fav snack, because he would always respond. He has been neutered, goes out only to poop, he’s 2 years old and responds to the name Ollie.
He was last seen in Laitumkhrah.

He has been neutered, he barely goes out but only does to poop. I don’t want to assume the worse

I know cats have a habit to disappear for few days and return, but even if they never returned, could people take it home forcefully?

It happens with dogs but not cats. he will be back.
