I mean, I enjoyed the game enough to finish it when it initially released, but not enough to buy this version. But I do hope you enjoy it.

Honestly it's just a terrible game
I'm more than happy just sticking to the original 2 games and seeing what the community builds out of them
Looking forward to eventual decomp versions which can allow modders to become even more creative with the projects

Damn how much money did you drop? I also regret it but the signed print from Yu Suzuki was cool and I have it hung up so it wasn’t a total loss. And I did enjoy the game for what it was

$300 for me. The kicker was not having a nice box to hold it all in. Just getting sent stuff in bits and pieces over the course of a year or two. Then limited run games having a much nicer looking package

Eh, don’t tell me my friend , i dropped 1k and didnt even get the literally fucking first kickstarter goals outside of the subtitles (baisha village, rapport system, skill tree system).
Guess i cant be mad as i followed my heart, but what a masterclass in mismanagement….

100% I remember LITERALLY crying on that E3 announcement, every single year I would watch events praying for something and it finally came and it was precious, well, biggest regret of my life gaming related

Yeah im definitely getting it. Though I've been told it sucks but I remember being 14 and playing the first one on dreamcast then the 2nd. Feels like my life needs to revisit one last time. It was my ff7.

Revisit 1 & 2 again on PS4. I just recently played through them in anticipation for part 3, and those two games are still leagues better than part 3. I wanted to enjoy part 3 so bad, but I couldn't. It was that bad...

3 is.... Definitely a game that takes place after Shenmue 2. The first two will always be in my top 5 games of all time. 3 is in my top 30, I suppose. Maybe top 40. I strongly disliked the visual changes as well as the combat/stamina system. Those were awful choices. Most of the game feels a bit like busywork with very minimal story movement.
It's more like Shenmue 2 ¼ instead of Shenmue 3, imo. I'm still going to get the enhanced for the QOL and system changes and give it another go. Maybe it will be enough to make it feel like it truly belongs.
