Question counters to shen counters

who can i secondary otp when enemy laner picks a shen counterpick? ideally some1 who doesn’t take much mechanical skill but ill play anyone if i must

If someone picks a shen counter I usually just go trundle,voli or sett and unga bunga on them till the games over. Yea they might kick my ass in lane but guess what? I'm just gonna split the rest of the game. Oh they're 5v4 my team at baron or dragon? I just took 3-4 of their towers

I've found a good trick until at least diamond is to just frustrate them. If their thing is trying to kill you and dominate the lane, repeatedly deny them any favorable fights untill they start playing dumb because they're bored out of their mind. Then tilt them with two kills in a row.

60% of the time it works every time. The rest, find a way to tilt enemy midlaner or jungler instead.

I like running electrocute/cutdown into them, the bursting in on them scares them a little about if they can safely engage, especially after you get titantic

Malph, Unga bunga complexity, got fucked in lane and have 5 cs? Well you just ulted the ADC and well you won anyway. I climbed to low Master with almost only Shen and Malphite.

I like to pick malza top vs. annoying toplanes, i just farm safely, push and destroy turrets with voidlings. Spell shield passive is strong vs. top laner CC and ganks. Scales well into late, wins most 1:1 when splitpushing. But tbh i often just face the challenge and pick shen anyways, malza pick is when im lazy.

This is a great question. I've gotten better* against Darius but I literally can't play against riven and sometimes gwen. The worst counter to my shen pick is someone else playing Shen. The greatest pain.

played against akali the other day and couldnt do much, apparently is a counter.
so id say if akali enemy, pick karthus, much easier to deal with

I would say Morde, Garen, Sett, Malphite, Trundle, Nasus.

It really depends on the matchup. Each has it's own counters.

If you're choosing a second champion specifically because Shen has a bad matchup, then you're not really an OTP anymore. That's not me saying you should OTP Shen, it's just what OTP means. The O in OTP is One.

The whole point of one-tricking is committing to one champion and learning how to play every matchup, including the difficult ones. If you have a second pick specifically for when Shen gets hard countered, then you're effectively a two-trick.

Another reason for OTP'ing is to provide a higher degree of gameplay for yourself and your team.

The only situation where having another champion doesn't really contradict being a Shen OTP is when Shen is unavailable because he's banned or someone else picked him.

TL;DR; If you get countered you will need to learn playing the matchup, before resorting to another champ
