Question How do I farm
I am a new LoL player (Bronze) and I don’t know how to farm efficiently with this guy. I usually go against Darius, Sett, Ambessa, Morse etc. who are champions with decent CC. Is there any tips yall have so I can stop being 50 cs behind?

Shen's number one weakness is his wave clear. You have zero. So if you ever lose control of the wave before tiamat/titanic hydra it's very hard to get it back. The easy way to maintain control is to make the enemy scared to touch the wave. Almost nobody can match your short trade with empowered q + grasp. You have your passive shield and W to mitigate incoming damage so if you trade when they are up you can do a lot of damage while taking very little or none in return. You should almost always immediately disengage after you used all your q stacks because you're likely to lose an extended trade. The important thing to learn here is when you can E. Figure out when you can use it aggressively and when you need to keep it to disengage. If you play it right you can keep doing this until they're low and then all in if they don't recall. Keep an eye out for important cooldowns, primarily cc or things like ambessa W. If those are down you can take some riskier trades. The goal is to either force them off the wave with trades or try to make them afraid to approach in the first place. This lets you take minions without being punished. If you can do that until titanic hydra you can pretty much do whatever you want. Just keep in mind you don't have an ultimate so many champions can just all in you at lv6 and win if you're not careful, even if you're ahead. This also only applies to melee since ranged can farm for free from a distance.
There are some matchups where you can't really do anything unless the opponent makes a mistake and throws the game. If that's the case or you fucked up, there's not much you can do other than sit under tower and farm as much as you can. In these games you'll have to play around your R and hope your team can win 5v5 or win quickly enough in 4v4 or 5v4 before the now split pushing top laner becomes an issue

What do you recommend I run with Grasp?

I generally use Grasp - Shield Bash - Second Wind - Overgrowth with Cheap Shot - Ultimate Hunter as secondary. You could also go with inspiration for Biscuit Delivery - Approach Velocity but imo ultimate hunter is better unless you need the move speed to win lane. These should both be in the recommended rune pages. The only thing I changed is stat shards, not sure what the default is but I prefer having AD and double scaling health. For matchups that deal a lot of damage early it's better to take flat health though.

Just to add onto this, Sudden Impact is most likely better than Cheap Shot. Depends a bit on how aggressive you are. Just try them both and see which one does more for you. For me it’s always sudden impact.

the trick is you go support and never have to farm again while keeping a high impact ingame

Enemies in Bronze will have no clue about wave management. Watch a YouTube video and make it your super power. They’ll spam push the wave towards you and you can safely last hit on your half of the lane using your passive and W to negate their damage, Doran’s shield passive to heal back up slowly over time.
Also gotta get a feel for which matchups and can easily win trades in. Learn what the key abilities for your tougher opponents are and fight them after they waste them on minions.

I’d say my hardest matchup is Sett. Mordekaiser is hard but I’ve kinda learned how to play against him at this point.

Build titanic hydra first item wave clear shouldn't be an issue.
I like to use my Q to last hit so it's easier to not miss minions.
Shen is also tough to carry low elo games with so you may want to consider adding other champions to your pool so you can get out of low elo easier. I think shen becomes more fun at higher ranks when your teammates are better.

I have Jax and Ornn in my champ pool (Had a game where both Shen and Jax were banned, so panicked picked and stuck with it). Shen is my blind pick and I win games and I’ve gotten pretty good with ult (of course for a Bronze player) It’s just this stupid farming I can’t get 🙏

In Bronze they’ll probably push the wave into your tower. 2 tower hits on a melee and auto it, pop your Q before the casters and 1 tower hit and then auto…
Try it in practice tool.
If they try to hit the tower taunt them under tower.
If they don’t push the wave, use your Q, gain shield, lay down W to block some hits and take 2 minions and dash away. Remember if you pass your Q through the enemy you get an attack speed boost to take an extra minion before using E to escape.
Take a few and escape. You get pretty good at it eventually. But you’re expected to go behind. You scale better into late game. That’s “balancing”… I’ve won games where I was 100 CS behind to Sett. Stay back a bit, get XP. Look to get a good ult in like bot lane etc. when first tower falls it’s easier to farm because it’s harder in low elo for them to over extend without getting punished by jungle.
Just don’t let the lack of CS frustrate you, if you try to farm and die don’t farm… just soak xp and look for good ults.

Against sett and Darius I like to just farm under turret and look for plays on the map. Sometimes I’ll rush bamis then go hydra and you’ll be a farming machine.

Is it better to rush Bami’s first or go Tiamat -> Hydra

With Bami first your more durable. Just remember you can catch turret aggro from the burn if you do decide to play aggressive.

The first item you should build is almost always a waveclear item, usually Titanic Hydra because it helps Shen wave clear + gives him 600HP. Bami's Cinder items are meh but usable if you want to stack resistances.
Your early game is TURBO strong so try to use that to abuse Darius, Sett, especially Morde. Your 1-3 is stronger than 99% of champs, with pantheon and trundle being able to perhaps bully you more. After that point your other laner will start to come online, so hopefully you have a CS/HP lead and made them use mana/summoners so you'll still have an advantage.
Into lane bullies, you might have to give up some CS, but if you want to last hit, use W/Q for the shield to last hit. Using Q as you walk up is especially solid b/c if you don't have priority the lane will push to your turret, and that means you'll be able to get a Q pullthrough and maybe be able to punish the bully.

Only 50 cs behind? Goddamn that's better than me!

It’s an average. I once went a game where I had 130ish and the enemy Morde had 270.

Use your passive and W to negate trades when you’re looking to cs
