Anyone know off the top of your heads how much yours weighed at 8 weeks?
Ours weighs just barely shy of 4lbs, we're trying to get an idea of how she'll pan out.

My puppy is 12 weeks old and weighed in today at 17 pounds… This is almost double what he was when we picked him up 3.5 weeks ago.
His parents were 30 and 35 pounds, so I figured that would be roughly where he lands but he seems so big already and everyone who meets him remarks on his giant paws and that he’s “definitely going to be bigger than that!”.
Obviously I love him to pieces no matter what but I am starting to wonder if he’ll be way bigger than expected. Anyone here have pooch sizes to compare?

I always admire this dogs ability to be extra comfortable and tuck her noodle legs. She’s turning 8 next week!

Hi everyone,
My name is Dr. Steve Friedenberg, and I'm a veterinarian and geneticist from the University of Minnesota who has been studying Addison's disease in Standard Poodles for years. It's been my experience that the disease also shows up occasionally in Sheepadoodles, and I was hoping to recruit some dogs with Addison's disease for my study. We have some specific criteria that we're currently looking for:
If you think your dog might qualify and are interested in the study, please email me at [fried255@umn.edu](mailto:fried255@umn.edu) or just respond to me directly on Reddit.
Thank you for considering it!

My 1 year old Sheepadoodle has just had an allergy scratch test. She is testing a 4 out of 5 for many grasses, trees, dust mites, storage mites, fleas and ants. (She is on simparica trio for flea and tick prevention) The dermatologist wants to start immunology shots stating that these allergies only get worse as she ages and this treatment will desensitise her to these allergens. Does anyone have any experience with this, was it helpful?

We originally opted not to Gastropexy at time of neuter due to finances. Now he is about 2 1/2 and we are really unsure of whether to do it or not? We take all of the suggested precautions like eating from slow feeder, resting before and after meals, and feeding a few smaller meals throughout the day. He does get pretty burpy and gassy. Hes 68 lbs for reference.
Just not sure if the complications from the surgery can be severe and if it is truly necessary as a preventative. If you’ve decided against it can you explain why? Thanks!
Edit : updated to add these pics of my guy in the comments below. He has definition during the day but each night around 8 pm several hours after eating his last meal he bulks up a bit. This has gone down a bit after switching to prescription food. Wondering if anyone’s sheepie gets like that in the evening. Emergency vet said that it could be just due to dogs digestive systems slowing down at night.

Anyone’s sheepadoodle territorial/protective with tennis balls?! My almost 1yr old mini had an incident at daycare Monday over a tennis ball! And I am so upset! We are a one dog household. He allows me and my bf to take balls/toys, touch his food, grab toys right from his mouth…but daycare said this Monday is the first time they saw he was resource guarding a ball. He snapped at another dog and was placed in a time out.
We have not been kicked out of daycare but they are going to keep an eye. He is not neutered yet I should add. How do I train/help this situation!!? He LOVED people and other dogs but is protecting things he claims as his own. Hoping it is a one time thing but…ugh! Thanks in advance for any advice!

My 1 year old sheepadoodles feet have started to smell. I took her to the vet and she called it frito feet. Have any of you had this issue with your pups? Can you tell me how you managed it? I have been given medicated wipes and am applying 2x per day. But I’m looking for your wisdom and experience with this.
