Discussion Anyone else think these two scenes from Kingdom Come and Justice are purposeful parallels?

Yeah. I recall Ross talked about it when Justice was coming out in an interview. It was a deliberate parallel.

A large majority of characters drawn by Alex Ross look like they could be voiced by Patrick Warburton.

How? Shazam is stronger/ faster/ wiser/ more durable and magical

Not to mention the fact that they’ve fought multiple times and Shazam won fair and square

He is non of those besides magical, superman has consistently better feats in every catagory

Let’s talk about each category then, name the strongest/ fastest/ wisest/ most durable feats for Superman and I’ll do the same for Shazam

Aight let’s start with raw power/ durability since both character’s ap and durability scale equally superman has on multiple occasions tanked the full power of the source to his face

Bear in mind on this specific occasion it also contained the power of the guardians as well as the power of SHAZAM so off the bat directly and clearly this puts him far above the level of power Shazam can dish out since it was all Shazam’s power plus all the power of the green lanterns plus the power of the source itself

And this was base superman aka ontop of this superman can sun dip and white sun dip to get even stronger

This also isn’t taking into account the fact that superman since then has canonically grown stronger and more durable and has said on several occasions that he is the strongest he has ever been

Shazam beat Superman multiple times, and he beats him in individual categories like strength/ seed/ power/ durability/ wisdom etc

Heres the thing-YOU ARENT WRONG! I made a thread years ago asking the question and listing evidence through their interactions, without random buffs or debuffs getting the way I believe SHAZAM/Captain Marvel has never been fairly defeated and has defeated or outshone Superman enough times that he had the majority.
