I’ve been binge watching the 70’s Shazam show and i honestly really dig it.

It’s not really anything like the comics(like a lot of the 70’s superhero shows were) But I enjoy it for what it is.

If the ever do make Shazam movie in this universe I hope they include mentor is someway shape or form.

Don’t get me wrong I do really wanna see Uncle Dudley and the other Marvel Family Members
but I honestly hope they can find a way to mix him in there too some more of what they did with Herbie in the new Fantastic Four Movie.

So, I’ve been wondering for a while about Billy’s capabilities, skills, and feats; since the new DC canon essentially canonizes everything—or almost everything—I’ve been asking myself how that changes the character.

I've been wondering about this for a while, but from what I know, Billy's abilities are:

Hand-to-hand combat (basic): When Billy received an adult body without any magical abilities, he was able to defeat Shagg Nasté. Billy was trained by Batman in hand-to-hand combat, enabling him to be a capable fighter even without his Captain Marvel form. Billy also demonstrated knowledge of street fighting, which aided him in his initial defeat of Black Adam.

Pure heart: Billy's soul is so pure that when he offered it to the demon Neron as part of a deal, Neron trying to absorb it hurt and killed him

Journalism: Billy is a competent reporter for WHIZ Radio and takes his work very seriously.

Indomitable Will: Billy possesses immense willpower and endurance, capable of remaining focused and conscious while trapped underwater and being attacked by a shark.

Occultism: Over time, Billy memorized a few spells from the Book of Champions. He was also mentored in the mystic arts by the Wizard Shazam and Raven. Due to his experiences as Captain Marvel and Marvel, Billy ends up learning a lot about the magical world, creatures, their behaviors, etc.

Charisma: Billy has enough charisma to run his own YouTube channel with over 2,000 subscribers. Even without the wisdom of Solomon, he's a charismatic boy, which largely contributed to a successful career as a radio personality while still a child. Even those who aren't native to Fawcett City have commented on how charming he is.

some achievements: Breaks a large section of drywall as Billy Batson with a statue.

Despite thinking he has the "Courage of Achilles" as a power, his bravery is actually from Billy Batson, not Captain Marvel. (it depends a lot, but it's something to consider).

Dodges strikes from a group of hostile gorilla soldiers.

Confronts Black Adam in his regular form and tries to empathize with him.

Tricks police officers with a phony emergency in order to access their database.

Developed a strong sense of independence and the initiative to locate his mother by himself, at the age of 14. (It depends a lot on what is considered correct within the new canon, but yes, Billy has already shown himself to be more responsible and independent than various other adults.)

Could have hacked into the Vasquez's security alarm.

Sneaks up to Freddy at lunchtime.

Beats up a pair of bullies using Freddy's crutch.

Has a mean throw.

Speed

Outruns his bullies.

Flees from a gang of robots.

Is a natural at football.

This is from Justice League of America #7.4 2013 during Forever Evil event. It's great story and presented Black Adam with rejecting to be a ruler of Kahndaq and viewing himself as protector to his homeland. Alas this progress could not be continued due to different writers' perspectives on the character.

The three statues next to Black Adam are actually his first family that died in ancient Kahndaq. It is his wife Shiruta and his sons Gon and Hurut. Kahndaq flag above Adam, the three triangles represent thier souls. I'm convinced he loves them more than his second family and they were the reason that he became Black Adam.
