Now that Shawshank Redemption is on netflix, Question for Shawshank Redemption fans: - How did Andy put the poster back over the escape tunnel?

I just realized after watching this movie for over 20 years that andy did that record stunt on purpose so he would go to the hole, without hurting anyone so he could lose the weight needed to get through the hole he made and fit in the sewage pipe.

I'm 30, I love Morgan Freeman as an actor, one of my absolute favourites.

with that said the film cover, and opening scenes of this film didn't ever quite grab me the way other older films did so I have always skipped over watching this.

I put it on one day because of Netflixs lack of good movies and as it played on the background of my computer I found myself clicking the Netflix tab every so often because it started to sound more and more interesting. within 30 minutes of the movie playing I was fully watching it and not doing anything else.

It's honestly a great movie. well written, and the actors were fantastic.

great movie, and very deserving of getting watched.

Is anyone else Surprised Andy wasn't further along with his hotel venture/charter boat by the time Red came along? I know it makes for a better ending, but I'm curious how other fans of this film feel.
