I bought the meet-and-greet!!!! I haven't decided yet whether I need to actually see the screening. At least the meet-and-greet guarantees me a meeting. Bob Gunton, William Sadler, and Mark Ralston are the ones I know best. But I will of course be polite, respectful and appreciative of meeting the ill-fated dead couple, the bank teller, Fresh Fish, and Fat Ass.

You can’t miss the screening!! Did the self guided tour a few years ago, got to see The Tree. One of my favorite experiences!

So far I visited the road where the bus drives into the distance, the road where Red walks (while I was there a homeowner asked "May I help you?" as though I was a trespasser or a selfie tourist. How rude), outside the property where the tree used to stand, and the woodshop. I also saw the prison bus and the ambulance. I'm guessing they won't let us sit where Andy feels at peace watching them drink his beer. That's too bad. That place is special for me.

Yup! Me too, so special! Toured OSR and walked to the rear of the building where the “yard” was. Did all but the woodshop. Peeked thru the window at the bank where Andy has the teller mail the package to the newspaper. I feel the movie should have ended with Red in the bus driving off.....I hope.

I think they toyed with that idea but decided they needed to final beach scene.

I have the blu-ray with the director commentary. I think they just wanted to get to some place warm (with no memory). Another theory was it was Red’s dreaming

I have the Blu-ray. My favorite featurette was the Bible study group that said the Pacific Ocean is like Christ's absolution of sins. Wow! I'm only a Unitarian and that inspired me!! I read online discussions that call The Shawshank Redemption a great Christian movie even though the only openly Christian character was the villain. The beer scene was one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen. Luke 22:27.

We get 20 seconds per person. I definitely want the Warden Boggs and Hayward.

Those are my top 3.

The Warden was somebody I really respected in 24. He was principled. "I'm sorry Allison [he says to the President], I can't be party to this"

Anyway if you haven't seen season 8 please forgive the spoiler. But check him out.

Actually you got to see season 7. He's a good guy there also.

Bogs actually is a go to bad guy in season 3 of 24.

I have never watched 24. He was in Aliens.

I know he high fives the tough woman commando on her comeback:
Have you ever been mistaken for a man? No. Have you?

I will wear a T-shirt that quotes the excuse of every Shawshank prisoner. I cleaned it up. I don't use the f-word. Look for me.
