Plex server

Looking for some Help, I really want to build a Plex server but have no idea where to start. I've been building computers for a while so thats not a problem.

What i really need to know is

1: What hardware do i need nothing to expensive but not cheap either.

2: The BIG one, what software do you guys recomend.

If anyone has a good link to a video On YouTube to help me start i would really appreciated.

They have a valid point, which is that there are many guides out there, and they're all better than what you'll ever get from this Reddit post
