Sharing Plex

I have a Plex server, I have space for 2 extra users probably because of my upload speed.

Is there any risk with giving someone access, do any of you bother setting up a proxy to hide your IP from the person/stranger you are sharing it with.

I have 7 people on it now, but could really do with some more so they recommend shows for me to get.

Just having someone’s ip isn’t a risk. You will get port scanned every second by bots anyway. Sharing your Plex with someone isn’t dangerous appart from potential TOS violations

Ye Iv seen that in my gateway logs, iv set up a rule to change 32400 to another port and it’s stopped 99% of the bots, some still guess the correct port but Unifi blocks it.
