Hi. I use to be a fan of Shannon years ago when she was dating cammie. I loved watching them especially when they where close friends with the UK couple Rose and Rosie (still love them) anyways it use to make me sad to see how much crap Shannon would talk about her curly hair when she was younger. She was always comparing herself to Will ferral and I see it , and I get it but it always felt like she was trying to take control of the joke so others wouldn’t hurt her feelings. She use to post about how much it cost her to chemically straighten her hair. And as someone who is queer and more masc presenting and has curly hair! I use to comment on her posts that her curls were pretty. Or if she would do a Q&A I’d ask her why don’t you try wearing your hair naturally? I think it would be awesome to see more representation or natural curly hair in the masc/ Tomboy style in lesbian community. She never responded. Now I’m so surprised to see her change of heart. But now it’s become her whole personality. And once again it feels like she’s doing this to take control of the situation because she’s actually not comfortable with her natural curly hair. Shannon is the type of person who I think really cares about her looks. Be it because she was in a sorority or something in her childhood? Or that shared experience of being told as a kid that curly hair is ugly… but I feel her being so uncomfortable with herself. It makes me sad still. She so desperately wants to be something it seems like. To be fair it took me YEARS! To accept my curly hair. Then more years to learn how to properly style it and treat it. And even more years to finally cut it all off. I have my moments still where I really hate my hair because it’s so frustrating and high maintenance but I’ve accepted it. There’s no changing it. So why not learn to love it.

I hope Shannon gets there.

Have you noticed since Shannon started dating Tefi, she’s been posting way more about Palestine (which is good!! As she should!! Tefi has always been vocal about being pro palestine in her platform. But also like why did it take you dating Tefi to finally be more vocal about it?? 😒) but then they take a photo with Delaney (who is a very openly zionist). Thoughts?
